1000-lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton taken from zoo on stretcher before ‘drug’ arrest

Amy Slaton was snapped on a stretcher being carted out of a zoo prior to her arrest.

On Monday, September 2, the 1000-lb Sisters star was arrested at West Tennessee Safari Park after police received a call about a camel biting a visitor. Amy was subsequently taken into custody for booking when cops discovered drugs such as psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her vehicle, as reported by TMZ.

In one photo, the TLC star was seen on a stretcher being wheeled into an ambulance by emergency workers. While on the gurney, Amy’s face appeared contorted in what seemed like pain, with one hand clutching a makeshift tourniquet around her other arm.

The makeshift tourniquet appeared to be a shirt. Amy was wearing a black tank top and orange shorts.

Bystanders in the zoo’s car park told TMZ that she was wandering around with the shirt wrapped around her arm before the EMS workers arrived to assist her, reports the Mirror US.

Prior to the arrest, Amy was reportedly feeding the camels at the Safari Park on Labor Day with her friend Brian Scott Lovvron, according to a Facebook post from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department. As the police turned up following reports that someone had allegedly been bitten by the camels, they “immediately” detected suspicious smells emanating from a “guest’s” vehicle.

Amy and Brian have been arrested and are facing charges of illegal possession of Schedule 1, illegal possession of Schedule VI and two counts of child endangerment. Reports suggest that Amy had her two kids in the car with her.

The authorities have yet to confirm if Amy was the one allegedly bitten, or provide any further details about any injuries from the supposed camel bite. Despite TMZ reporting that police told them it was Amy, Jon Conley, one of the owners of Tennessee Safari Park, told the outlet that the 36-year-old couldn’t have been bitten.

The cut she had above her elbow didn’t indicate a camel bite as the skin was open and there was no bruised tissue.

Jon also stated that the Park welcomes thousands of guests each year and no one has ever been bit by a camel before. Moreover, the zoo couldn’t find surveillance footage to back up Amy’s claim.

He also mentioned that Amy was unable to explain where in the park she was supposedly bitten.
