I’m A Celeb’s Maura Higgins admits to ‘accident’ after major change to camp rules

I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins has stirred the pot, confessing to a cheeky “accident” after the camp’s shake-up. The jungle celebs are now feeling the pinch with new rules slapping fees on loo visits, showers, and food.

During the Rank Bank trial, all eyes were on I’m A Celeb hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as they laid down the law – everyone’s wallets are about to get lighter. Dean McCullough, Alan Halsall and Danny Jones duked it out in the trial after a public vote, with each of them vying for a cash boost for their team’s funds.

The top dog scored $300, while second and third place nabbed $200 and $100. But any slowpokes missing the three-minute mark got zilch.

New rules meant every trip to the dunny, shower or bath would cost $10 at the turnstile. And don’t forget the vending wall – water and logs come with the same price tag, reports the Mirror.

Maura Higgins accidentally threw out the camp’s food

After enduring the trial, the celebs all headed back to camp for their anticipated meal of rice and beans — but they faced a hitch. Strictly legend Oti Mabuse and Reverend Coles were bamboozled when they couldn’t spot where the grub had got to, later realising Maura was the culprit for chucking it out with the rubbish.

They had no choice but to delve into the bin to rescue the food, prompted by Maura’s admission that she binned them by mistake. She spilled her guts to the Bush Telegraph, admitting: “I didn’t throw the rice and beans in the rubbish on purpose or anything, although that’s the place for them if I’m being honest! It was a complete accident.”

The incident ruffled feathers in the jungle, cranking up already simmering tension, and Radio 1 DJ Dean found himself in hot water amid a rat-spotting row.

Reverend Coles stirred the pot at brekkie, mentioning: “We had a visitor last night, a little four legged visitor with a tail, a rat.”

He urged the stars to tidy up to dodge unwelcome guests, pointing fingers at a frying pan and cups left out. Dean wasn’t taking any flack though; he hit back in the Bush Telegraph, insisting: “It’s actually Jane and Tulisa’s job to make sure that the pots are in the trunk, so when the reverend was telling everyone to put the pots away otherwise we’ll get rats, what he really meant was, Jane and Tulisa, put the pots away.”

Dean also ruffled feathers with Melvin Odoom, who likened getting “Houdini” to assist with chores to an added task, remarking: “It’s almost like another chore to ask him to help… it’s like telling a kid to tidy up his bedroom.”

On the other hand, ex-boxer Barry McGuigan wasn’t impressed with Dean either, especially after teabag-gate. Barry described Dean’s trial antics as: “He screams, he shouts and he’s overdramatic.”
