AceShowbiz – Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey and YUNGBLUD were among the early winners at the NME Awards in London on Wednesday night, February 12.
Grammys queen Eilish added another award to her haul, claiming the Best Song in the World trophy for “Bad Guy”, while Del Rey’s “Norman F**king Rockwell” was named Best Album in the World, and YUNGBLUD picked up Best Music Video for “Original Me”.
There were also wins for Liam Gallagher (Best Music Film for “As It Was”), slowthai + Mura Masa (Best Collaboration), Easy Life (Best New British Act), The Cure (Best Festival Headliner), and Foals (Best Live Act), while Courtney Love was handed the Icon Award and rockers The 1975 scored the Innovation Award.
And there was a big upset in the Best Film category, with “Blue Story” beating out “Hustlers“, “Joker“, “Midsommar“, and “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood“, while “Peaky Blinders” triumphed over “End of the F**king World”, “Fleabag“, “Stranger Things“, and “Top Boy” to land the Best TV Series prize.
