  • Smash Mouth Yells 'F**k That COVID' During Packed Concert, Faces Backlash Afterwards

    Instagram

The rock band’s manager, Robert Hayes, has insisted in a statement that the group took all the safety precautions possible at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.
    Aug 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Smash Mouth has become the latest musician to ignore all the social distancing guidelines and hold a concert amid the pandemic era. The “I’m a Believer” hitmaker performed in front of a packed, unmasked crowd at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota on Sunday night, August 9.
While most musicians avoided mentioning the elephant in the room when they held a show during this pandemic era, it wasn’t the case with Smash Mouth. In footage making its way round the Internet, singer Steve Harwell could be seen yelling, “Now we’re all here together tonight. F**k that COVID s**t!”
KOTA reported on Monday that organizers were expecting 250,000 from around the country to attend the event overall, though it was not clear how many people attended the annual event that night.
Following the event, backlash was inevitable. “Such disrespect of 160,000 people who have died and the medical professionals who are having to struggle with being overwhelmed to try and save us,” one person commented. “Coming from an old has been who should know better. By the way folks if he gets covid, he’ll be able to pay for his hospital stay,” another said.
“Your brain gets dumb but your head gets dumb? the years really don’t stop coming? what’s the best angle here,” one other wrote. “Steve Harwell probably just wants to die because of how we memed his life achievement. This is collectively our fault,” an individual said, as one person simply commented, “Hey now you’re a shit head.”
Even though Smash Mouth has yet to directly respond to the outrage, the band’s manager has stressed in an email that they took all the safety precautions possible at the event. “The promoter did a fantastic job with their Covid protocol. They had a very strict social distancing and mask policy in place for all workers,” Robert Hayes said. “Everything backstage was sanitized, etc. The band has their own Covid addendum to their rider as well and the promoter and venue adhered to all of our requests. We spent endless hours advancing this event to make sure that it was pulled off as safely as possible and we are very happy with the outcome.”

  • Cardi B Stands Up for Kylie Jenner Following Backlash Over Her 'WAP' Music Video Cameo

    Instagram

In response to fans’ demand for the removal of the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star from the video, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker reminds, ‘This is not about f**kin race.’
    Aug 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cardi B has defended Kylie Jenner amid a fan petition to have the reality star removed from the rapper’s “WAP” music video.
Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion dropped the video for their collaboration on Thursday (August 06), featuring an array of famous faces including Normani Kordei, Rosalia and Kylie, who struts her stuff around the house in a plunging leopard-print bodysuit and matching cape.
However, the reality star’s appearance riled fans, who headed online to demand her removal and, after a Change.org petition was started over the weekend, labeling Jenner a “culture vulture,” the “Bodak Yellow” star hit back on Twitter, insisting, “Not everything is about race.”
“Normani did ALL this and Kylie walked down the hall and opened a door. If that’s not a perfect visual indication of Black women having to do the most…” wrote one fan, prompting the hitmaker’s response.
“Normani is one of the best female artist that dances like she dances her f**kin ass off!” Cardi wrote. “Why would she open a door? Please tell me how that would make sense? The best part of the song is the beat and hook, it what makes you want to shake your a**.”
She continued, “Not everything is about race. Theres issues out here in the world that is about race and I preach all the time about. This is not about f**kin race.”

Cardi B clapped back at backlash over Kylie Jenner’s cameo in ‘WAP’.
“Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid’s bday party,” Cardi insisted in a final tweet. “Travis (Scott, Kylie’s ex) and Set (Offset, Cardi’s husband) are real close and Kris Jenner have given me advice on certain things I ask for and her husband real cool with mine.”

  • Safaree Samuels Unveils 'WAP' Remix Called 'BAD' and Twitter Can't Stop Ridiculing Him

The new song finds the ‘Love and Hip Hop: New York’ star bragging about his member as he can be heard rapping, ‘I done broke the internet with this big a** d**k.’
    Aug 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion broke the Internet last week with their collaboration “WAP”, so it’s only natural that other musicians will release a remix of the song sooner or later. What people don’t expect is the fact that Safaree Samuels would be the first one to unleash a remix called “BAD” that stands for “Big A** D**k”.
Released on Monday, August 10, the tune finds the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star bragging about the size of his member and how he’s able to make money off of OnlyFans. “Girl, you f**king with a big a** d**k/ Million dollars, OnlyFans, with this big a** d**k/ I done broke the internet with this big a** d**k/ Slap you right across your face with this big a** d**k,” he can be heard rapping on the song.
People are not feeling the song at all, prompting his name to trend on social media as many start ridiculing him. “Safaree remixed cardi $ meg’s song wet a** p***y..he called it bad a** d**k…bro he is 40 years old..wtf wrong wit him lol,” one said, while some others got even more convinced that the claim that Safaree used to write for Nicki Minaj was nothing but a lie.
Someone else said, “Safaree , Jason derulo and terry crews passing around the ‘ clown of the year ‘ award,” as another individual wrote, “Safaree literally just started mimicking Nicki raps minus the lyricism after they broke up and n***as thought he wrote for her. The man finessed y’all.” One other commented, “When that WAP song came out I immediately thought to myself ‘n***as be corny but atleast none of us is corny enough to remix this into a d**k song’ but I completely forgot safaree still alive.”
“Safaree is the prime example of a big d**k n***a with little d**k antics,” another person said. In the meantime, an online user wrote, “i don’t remember anyone telling Safaree to remix wap, remove that s**t immediately.”

  • CeeLo Green in Hot Water After Slamming Nicki Minaj, Cardi B for Making 'Shameless' Music

    WENN

In a new magazine interview, the Goodie Mob member says that the ‘Bang Bang’ rapper is ‘desperate’ and says that ‘there should be a time and a place for adult content.’
    Aug 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – CeeLo Green has made it pretty clear that he’s not a fan of music created by the likes of Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. In a new magazine interview, the “Fool for You” singer spoke on artists sexualizing themselves in their music, lamenting about the content of this kind of music since they lack morality.
“A lot of music today is very unfortunate and disappointing on a personal and moral level,” the Goodie Mob member said. “There was once a time when we were savvy enough to code certain things. We could express to those it was meant for with the style of language we used. But now music is shameless, it is sheer savagery. There should be a time and a place for adult content.”
He then suggested that Nicki brought negative influence in the hip-hop community, saying that she’s “desperate.” Not stopping there, CeeLo went on criticizing both Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion, “They are all more or less doing similar salacious gesturing to kinda get into position. I get it, the independent woman and being in control, the divine femininity and sexual expression. I get it all. It comes at what cost?”
Even though the female rappers mentioned by CeeLo have yet to respond to his comment, a lot of people have already come to their defense. Many were accusing him of hypocrisy and brought up his past rape case. “CeeLo ‘it isn’t rape if the victim is unconscious’ Green is the last person who should be giving an opinion on anything related to women expressing themselves,” one said.
“CeeLo’s mad at female rappers using ‘adult content’ but pled no contest to drugging a woman while they were on a date (the woman woke up unclothed in bed with him not remembering anything) THEN about the charges tweeted that it’s not rape if a woman is unconscious. Cute!” someone shared similar thoughts. “Ceelo should shut tf up like he ddnt drug and rape a woman in 2013.. SOME OF US AIN’T FORGOT,” another wrote.
Meanwhile, one more person commented, “CeeLo Green has a rape charge against him so his opinion here doesn’t count. Also women being sexually explicit in songs isn’t anything new. Listen to any of Lil’ Kim’s early records or Janet Jackson’s 90’s albums and it’s just as explicit and empowering.”
Back in 2014, CeeLo pleaded no contest to one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance stemming from the July 2012 incident where one woman accused him of slipping ecstasy into her drink. He was not charged with rape after prosecutors found out that their sex was consensual, but it was his tweet that sparked fury among online users. He said at the time, “If someone is passed out they’re not even WITH you consciously, so WITH implies consent. People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!” He later deleted the tweet and apologized.

  • Caroline Baskin Blasts Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Over Use of Tigers in 'WAP' Music Video

    YouTube

The ‘Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’ star accuses the two raptress of sending a terrible message with their new clip as it glamorizes rich folk keeping exotic cats as pets.
    Aug 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Caroline Baskin is another public figure taking issue with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” music video. The “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” star is upset with the video for an issue that’s close to her heart, which is the use of tigers for the clip.
The big cat conservationist expresses her frustration over the two raptress’ new video to TMZ, saying that it “sends a terrible message and is harmful to the future of big cats.” She claims that the video is a glamorization of rich people keeping exotic cats as pets and it makes her worried that “every ignorant follower want to imitate by doing the same.”
While Carole is slightly relieved that the tigers seemed to be superimposed, meaning they were not in the same room with Cardi and Megan during the filming, she says that “posing [with] wild animals in front of green screens and using them in productions is unnatural and confusing.”
The owner of Big Cat Rescue goes on accusing the music video’s producers of working with one of the “big cat pimps” like Doc Antle or Mario Tabraue, whom she believes mistreat cats.
Previously, Cardi and Megan have faced backlash from several right-wing politicians for the provocative lyrics of their song “WAP”. James P. Bradley, a Republican running for a Congressional seat in California, tweeted, “Their new ‘song’ The #WAP (which i heard accidentally) made me want to pour holy water in my ears.”
Expressing his concern about Cardi and Megan’s influence on young girls, he added, “I feel sorry for future girls if this is their role model!” He went on speculating, “Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are what happens when children are raised without God and without a strong father figure.”
Former Republican Congressional candidate DeAnna Lorraine also slammed the song as “disgusting” and “vile,” and disagreed with the notion that the song is a female empowerment anthem. She said the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker and the “Savage” raptress are “completely wrong” if they think the song does “anything to empower women.”
