6ix9ine Reportedly Teaming Up With Nicki Minaj for Next Song

    Instagram

Report of his supposed collaboration with the ‘Anaconda’ raptress comes after the ‘Gooba’ hitmaker claimed that he’s going to ‘break the internet’ with his upcoming music video.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – 6ix9ine’s recent claim to “break the internet” with his upcoming music might not be an exaggeration. The “FEFE” hitmaker is reported to be prepping a collaboration with one of today’s top hip-hop artists, Nicki Minaj, while he’s serving home confinement.
According to MTO News, the top secret project is done, with the “Starships” raptress having “already recorded her part” in Los Angeles and “Tekashi did his part” in New York. A source reportedly close to the Trinidad and Tobago-born femcee additionally tells the site that Nicki is traveling to New York to film a video for the new song this coming weekend.
Should the report of the Nicki duet be true, it will mark 6ix9ine’s first collaboration with any artist since his early release from prison due to the coronavirus pandemic. The “Anaconda” hitmaker, meanwhile, recently earned her first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix)” which features her.
Earlier on Thursday, May 21, 6ix9ine told his fans that he intended to cause an even bigger stir with his next music video, following the release of his first post-prison song, “Gooba”. The 24-year-old star posted on Instagram along with a picture of him holding two kittens, “NEXT VIDEO WILL BREAK THE INTERNET IM PUSHING IT BACK TILL NEXT FRIDAY MAY 29TH.”
“Gooba” music video broke Eminem’s YouTube record for the most-watched hip-hop video in a 24-hour period after it was released on May 8. He, however, was not pleased with the song’s chart performance, accusing Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Billboard of chart manipulation after the two singers’ duet “Stuck With U” reached No. 1 and his debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending May 23.
Ariana and Justin have denied the allegation, with Billboard responding to the rapper’s “six credit cards” claim. “Billboard and Nielsen Music/MRC Data conducts audits on all sales reported with access to purchase-level detail, and works with data partners to recognize excessive bulk purchases and remove those units from the final sales total. All titles this week, as in every week, were put under the same scrutiny,” Billboard stated.

Megan Thee Stallion Transforms Into Crime Fighter in 3D Animated Video for 'Savage'

    [embedded content]

Three weeks after releasing a remix version of her hit song featuring Beyonce, the ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper comes out with a visual that combines her love for anime with her signature rap sound.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Megan Thee Stallion has treated her devotees to a brand new 3-D animated video for “Savage”. On Thursday, May 21, the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper released the highly anticipated visual for her third single off “Suga” EP, presenting herself as a futuristic crime fighter who seeks to take down evil organization.
Described as “a futuristic tale of assassins set in day-glo animation” in the press release, the less-than-three-minute video sees “a one woman army taking down an evil entity from the inside,” and is claimed to have strengthened the song’s status as “an manifesto for powerful women across the universe.” It combines Megan’s love of anime and her signature rap sound.
Hours before dropping the video directed by Jude MC, the 25-year-old rapper hyped up the anticipation by sharing a short teaser on Instagram. Accompanying the clip, she wrote in the caption, “Been working to make the anime video look like a game and a sexy ass anime movie lol what y’all think ? Y’all want it today ?”

This video for “Savage” came weeks after Megan released a high-profile remix version of the hit track with Beyonce Knowles. Dropped in late April, the remix gave the song a boost to the top spot on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Songs chart. It is currently in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third week. It also helped Megan make her debut on the Billboard Songwriters Chart.
Megan herself has been announced as one of the headliners for this year’s “GMA” Summer Concert Series. Joining a lineup that includes Katy Perry, John Legend, Mariah Carey, Sia Furler, Bebe Rexha and the Black Eyed Peas, the “Diamonds” rapper is set to perform on August 21. She has also joined the judging panel of HBO Max’s ballroom competition show, “Legendary”, which will premiere on May 27.

Lady GaGa Admits to Challenging Ariana Grande to Sing While Watching Her Dance

    Instagram

Aside from praising her ‘Rain on Me’ collaborator, the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker reveals that she sent Billie Eilish flowers after the ‘Bad Guy’ singer won big at one awards show.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lady GaGa put her “Rain on Me” duet partner Ariana Grande on the spot by asking her to sing, while she performed an interpretive dance in front of her.
The “Poker Face” star admits her new pal had no idea what to expect when GaGa asked her to join her in the studio – and she really tested her.
“I think maybe she assumed that it’d be that she came in and I was like, ‘Here, just sing this and thank you so much for your time,'” Gaga tells Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “but instead I asked her what she needed, how she wanted to do things…
“I said to her, ‘OK, now everything that you care about while you sing, I want you to forget it and just sing. And by the way, while you’re doing that, I’m going to dance in front of you’, because we had this huge big window…
“She was like, ‘Oh my God. Oh my God. I can’t. I can’t. I don’t know. Oh my God. OK, OK’. And then I did it and she sang, and she started to do things with her voice that was different. And it was the joy of two artists going, ‘I see you…’ We create things that make us feel comfortable. We put them all around. I do it all the time. We all do things to make ourselves feel safe.
“I always challenge artists when I work with them. I go, ‘Make it unsafe, make it super f**king unsafe and then do it again’. And it was just awesome to watch her.”
During the interview with Lowe, GaGa also heaped praise on Billie Eilish, revealing she sent her flowers after one awards show where the “Bad Guy” singer piled up the wins.
    [embedded content]
“There was one night where she just swept a whole bunch of awards and I said, ‘Send her some flowers’. I wrote her a note and, for me, it’s healing, because I go, ‘You know what? That hurt me that I didn’t get that, but that’s OK, because I’m going to be that for someone else’. And me being that for anyone is also a gift for me.”

Drake Reacts After Facing Backlash for Calling Kylie Jenner 'Side Piece' in Unreleased Song

    Instagram

The ‘Toosie Slide’ hitmaker is upset by the song leak that reveals his lyrics about rumored flame Kylie, her sister Kendall Jenner, and fellow model Gigi Hadid.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drake is far from happy a scrapped song, in which he suggests reality TV star and young business mogul Kylie Jenner is a “side piece,” has been leaked as an unreleased new track.
An associate of the rapper’s previewed some future hits on his Instagram Live account and in one, Drake namechecks Kylie, her sister Kendall Jenner, and pregnant model Gigi Hadid.
    “Yeah, I’m a hater to society/Real s**t, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece/Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,” he raps in the song, adding, “Yeah, I got 20 d**n Kendalls/Young slim baddies and they in vogue/Yeah, I got 20 f**kin’ Gigis.”
Drake woke up on Thursday, May 21, 2020 to discover the track, a collaboration with Future, had been posted overnight and quickly addressed the backlash from fans of Jenner, who felt he’d disrespected her.
“(It) shouldn’t have been played,” he wrote. “It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after.”
“He (associate) was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start the day.”
He didn’t expand on the true meaning behind the rap lyric, but there were rumours late last year 2019 suggesting Kylie and Drake were secretly dating after she attended his Halloween party.
Kylie split from hip-hop star Travis Scott, who worked with Drake on hit song “Sicko Mode”, in late 2019. The exes share daughter Stormi, two.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Vows to 'Break the Internet' With New Music Video

    Instagram

The ‘Gooba’ hitmaker is gearing up for the release of his next music offering and vows to cause an even bigger stir on the internet with the new music video.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Tekashi 6ix9ine has high hopes for his upcoming music video, vowing to “break the internet” with the release.
The rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez, broke Eminem’s YouTube record for the most-watched hip-hop video in a 24-hour period after releasing his comeback track “GOOBA” earlier this month, May 2020, following his recent release from jail.
Tekashi has now told his fans that he intends to cause an even bigger stir with his next music video, sharing an Instagram photo of himself holding a kitten in each hand as he revealed he’s moved the release date for the song in question to next Friday, May 29. “NEXT VIDEO WILL BREAK THE INTERNET IM PUSHING IT BACK TILL NEXT FRIDAY MAY 29TH,” he wrote beneath the snap.

Despite the success of “GOOBA”, the star hit headlines after taking issue with Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Billboard officials after his track missed out on the U.S. number one spot.
After only reaching number three, Tekashi alleged that “you can buy Number Ones on Billboard,” prompting denials from Grande and Bieber over accusations the rapper made about sales of their charity collaboration, “Stuck With U”.
“To anybody that is displeased with their placement on the chart this week or who is spending their time racking their brain thinking of as many ways as they can to discredit hardworking women (and only the women for some reason…), I ask you to take a moment to humble yourself,” Grande said in a statement.
Billboard also issued a statement, clarifying their position on the matter and revealing the respective sales figures for “GOOBA” and “Stuck With U”.

Lana Del Rey Drags Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Ariana, Cardi B as She Denies Being Anti-Feminist

    WENN

The ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer criticizes other artists for singing songs about ‘cheating and f**king’ as she hints at being unfairly accused of ‘glamorizing abuse.’
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lana Del Rey has called out her critics in a lengthy note on social media posted on Thursday, May 21, 2020, hitting back at claims she “glamourises abuse” in her music.
The “Video Games” star has long been slammed by critics who call out her provocative lyrics and musical explorations of domestic violence as “anti-feminist,” with singer Lorde among those criticising the hitmaker.
“A lot of women in this industry maybe aren’t doing so well for the girls,” the “Royals” star told Fader back in 2013. “I listened to that Lana Del Rey record and the whole time I was just thinking it’s so unhealthy for young girls to be listening to, you know: ‘I’m nothing without you.’ ” She also accused Lana of being “like, ‘I’m not a feminist,’ ” but, according to the “Summertime Sadness” singer, that’s simply not the case.
In the post, Lana insisted, “I’m not not a feminist,” stating, “I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world.”
She said, “Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce have all had number ones about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f**king, cheating etc – can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever I want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?”
“I think it’s pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say I’ve set women back hundreds of years.”
Insisting she’s being “honest and optimistic about the challenging relationships I’ve had,” the “Venice B**ch” star went on to share, “There has to be a place in feminism for women who look and act like me – the kind of woman who says no but men hear yes – the kind of women who are slated mercilessly for being their authentic, delicate selves, The kind of women who get their own stories and voices taken away from them by stronger women or by men who hate women.”
Closing the message, Lana added she’s determined to “detail some of my feelings in my next two books of poetry” and teased “there will be tinges of what I’ve been pondering in my new album that comes out September 5th.”

The hitmaker previously revealed her forthcoming seventh studio album will be titled “White Hot Forever”.

Lana Del Rey Claps Back at Accusations That She's 'Glamorizing Abuse'

    Instagram

The ‘Born to Die’ artist takes to Instagram to explain her side while throwing shades at fellow female musicians including Doja Cat, Ariana Grande and Beyonce Knowles among others
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lana Del Rey sets the record straight. In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, May 21, the singer-songwriter hits back at critics who accused her of “glamorizing abuse” in her songs throughout her decade-long career. She explained her side while throwing shades at fellow female musicians including Doja Cat and Ariana Grande, Beyonce Knowles among others.
“Question for the culture: Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, [Camila Cabello], Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyonce have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f***ing, cheating etc – Can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever I want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?” she opened her post.
“Im fed up with female writers and alt singers saying that I glamorize abuse when in reality I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seing are very prevalent emotinally abusive relationships all over the world,” she continued. “I think it’s pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say I’ve set women back hundreds of years.”
In her post, Lana also claimed, “I’ve been honest and optimistic about the challenging relationships I’ve had. News flash! That’s just how it is for many women. And that was sadly my experience up until people point that those records were made. So I just want to say it’s been a long 10 years of bullsh**t reviews up until recently and I’ve learned a lot from them but I also feel it really paved the way for other women to stop ‘putting on a happy face’ and to just be able to say whatever the hell they wanted to in their music.”
Concluding her rant, Lana hinted that she’s preparing for her album and her “next two books of poetry” in which she would be “detailing some of my feelings.” She added, ‘And I’m sure there wil be tinges of what I’ve been pondering in my new album that comes out September 5th.”

Fans appreciated her honesty as one of them wrote in the comment section, ” love you for being so honest and open and not being afraid to speak your mind! Continue being you, millions of people love you and relate to you. You’ve saved me thru ur music and has inspired me and made me who I am today and I thank u a million times for that.”
Excited for Lana’s new album, another fan said, “I’m so happy you stuck with you after all these years. You’ve always been authentic and that’s why we love you. Can’t wait for September 5th.”
