Big Brother couple got hitched 16 years ago in only lasting relationship from show

Big Brother has seen many housemates fall in love in the house, only for things to fall apart on the outside – but for one doting couple, things could not be any happier for them07:55, 10 Aug 2025Updated 08:21, 10 Aug 2025Two Big Brother stars have become the show’s only surviving relationship in 25 years.A new series of the reality titan is set to take place later this year, as the much-loved social experiment celebrates its 25th birthday. After first being released on the BBC, its history has seen it move to Channel 4, Channel 5 and – most recently – ITV.Viewers also watched with intrigue as housemates were put up against each other, leading to arguments galore. However, some contestants actually fell the other way and romance eventually blossomed in the show, leading to huge revelations and raunchy antics.Often when housemates leave the show, any romance eventually fizzles out and the pair continue their singlehood as they did when they entered the show. But for one pair of contestants, they fell so in love, they are still together to this day – including having been married and welcoming children into the world.Mikey Dalton and Grace-Adams Short have been lovingly wed for the past 16 years(Image: grace_adams_short/Instagram)Mikey Dalton, 42, and Grace Adams-Short, 39, first met on Big Brother in 2006, at the height of the show’s popularity. They met in an iconic series, featuring the likes of fellow housemates Nikki Grahame and Pete Bennett, where love also blossomed for some time. But while contestants were being pushed to their limit, love began to take a hold of the two and after both were kicked from the show by the public, the pair decided to make it official on the outside. Three years later, the pair tied the knot and are now proud parents to four doting children.According to the Mirror, the pair admitted they hoped they could show the programme to their kids when they get older so they can see how the two fell in love. Recounting the experience to This Morning back in 2023, Grace recalled: “I didn’t have any idea that I was going to meet my life partner, my husband, absolutely not.The pair fell in love on the show back in 2006″We just thought it was going to be a fun summer,” she added. “I was 20 years old, it was kind of like a gap year!”Mikey admitted that he was not head over heels for Grace the second he saw her, but he did fancy her. “I was lusting after her, I still remember the outfit you wore going in and the boots and everything; I was lovestruck when I seen her!” he revealed. While couples on the show come and go, Mikey and Grace have officially become both the longest-lasting relationship on the show, as well as the only surviving relationship to come from the programme. It comes after 2023 stars Jordan Sangha and Henry Southern called time on their relationship, leaving dedicated fans gutted.Mikey and Grace now are proud parents of four doting kids(Image: Grace Adams-Short/Instagram)Confirming the split on Instagram, Henry posted a lengthy statement, reading: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. It’s incredibly sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step.”We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you,” Henry added. Jordan, for his part, said: “I want to than everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends, cheers,” followed by a kiss.Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. BBC employee claims he was offered cocaine by Strictly star amid drug allegations

An ex-BBC employee has alleged that he was offered cocaine by a Strictly Come Dancing star and that he saw a number of its celebrity contestants ‘partying’ after filming was over02:28, 10 Aug 2025Updated 02:46, 10 Aug 2025A Strictly Come Dancing crew member has alleged that he was offered drugs by a star on the showA former BBC staffer has made shocking claims about the alleged party culture among Strictly Come Dancing stars. The anonymous individual, who spent a decade working behind the scenes on the popular dance competition, alleged that they witnessed several celebrity contestants engaging in wild behaviour after filming wrapped. This reportedly included seeing stars drinking and taking drugs. The former employee also claimed to have seen suspicious bags of white powder, believed to be cocaine, in the smoking area and men’s toilets on two separate occasions. Furthermore, they alleged that one of the show’s stars offered them cocaine at a party after filming the Blackpool stage of the contest.A BBC spokesperson responded to the allegations, stating: “We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.”This comes after reports emerged last week that the BBC had launched an investigation into claims that two of its stars had taken cocaine. The broadcaster has enlisted law firm Pinsent Masons to investigate the allegations, reports the Mirror.A source revealed: “The BBC is taking the allegations really seriously. Bosses are aware of the two stars in question and have a duty of care to make sure they’re OK.”The insider continued: “As per BBC policy, the option of specialised professional support is on the table and will be offered. While drug testing won’t happen on the main show, bosses are considering bringing in random checks for the tour next year.”The source suggested that the BBC needs to ensure no illegal activities are taking place and are awaiting the results of the investigation. This is the latest controversy to hit the long-standing series, following allegations of drug use submitted to the BBC in March by Russells Solicitors on behalf of a celebrity contestant. It’s understood that other individuals have also made allegations of drug use on Strictly Come Dancing to the BBC. Earlier this week, it was reported that one such claim involved a Strictly star who allegedly commented on another person’s dilated pupils, hinting at drug intoxication by saying: “Have you seen their pupils… they’re off their face”.The Sun also reported that a celebrity claimed it is common knowledge within the show’s circle that two stars were using cocaine, a topic reportedly widespread among the cast.In a statement given over the weekend, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.”Article continues belowThe new setback arrives amid rumours about which celebrities might be hitting the dance floor when the show makes its return in just a few weeks. BBC One Show star Roman Kemp revealed on a podcast with Tom Grennan that his dad thinks of his wife, son and daughter as his best friendsRoss Kaniuk 22:14, 09 Aug 2025Roman spilled his dad’s secrets on a recent podcast(Image: Getty Images)Roman Kemp says his former Spandau Ballet star dad Martin is ‘Billy No Mates’.One Show presenter and former I’m A Celeb star Roman was discussing friendships when he revealed he was shocked to hear his dad, 63 – married to Pepsi and Shirlie singer Shirlie Holliman – only really saw his close family as friends.Chatting to music star Tom Grennan, Roman, who has a sister Harley, 35, said: “Take my dad for instance. My dad doesn’t have any friends. I’ve asked my dad this question, I said ‘Who’s your best mate?’ Do you know what his answer is? ‘You’. “I said ‘Who’s your other best mate?’Roman has appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox with his dad and the pair had a podcast together(Image: Channel 4)“(He said) ‘Mum, ‘Who’s your other best mate?’ (He replied) ‘Harley’.”Grennan told Roman, 32, on their ‘You About?’ podcast his dad was similar. He replied: “That’s what I think when you get to an age. I speak to my dad and he says exactly the same thing and having a family and all that kind of stuff – your family become your unit, your team, and the people that you go ‘these people here are the people that love me for me, not my money, not for the world that we live in, but just for the pure heart of who I am and what I am’.”Martin sees his wife and kids as his best friends(Image: Dave J Hogan/Getty Images)Roman and his dad have undertaken a number of projects together including Celebrity Gogglebox and father-and-son podcast FFS, My Dad Is Martin Kemp.On an episode earlier this year, Martin revealed he would prefer Roman to make the call on withdrawing end-of-life care over his older sister Harley Moon.Martin dropped the bombshell, saying he’d want it that way “because you’re a man” and that Roman, 32, can “block things out more easily” than Harley Moon, 35.Article continues belowResponding to the challenge that his decision seemed quite sexist, Martin clarified: “It’s not whether you’re a man or a woman. It’s who you are as a personality.”Martin conceded that although it sounds difficult in theory, “when it comes to pulling the plug on someone… giving the doctor the wink and saying’ that’s enough’, you’ll know”.For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here. Katie Price and Princess Andre ‘feud’ deepens: 18th birthday ‘blow out’ and ‘jealousy’

Fresh claims about the ‘feud’ between Katie Price and her daughter Princess Andre suggest that tensions between the two have deepened as Princess is set to launch her own reality TV careerTom Bryant , Amy Denman and Zesha Saleem22:02, 09 Aug 2025Some question whether Katie could be jealous of her daughter’s success(Image: Getty Images)Insiders have revealed fresh claims over Katie Price’s “feud” with Princess Andre after the former supermodel said she was banned from her daughter’s 18th birthday party.Bombshell reports say Katie, 47, flew abroad and missed a planned morning meet-up with Princess on her 18th birthday and is trying to “insert herself” into her daughter’s success amid her showbiz career. It is also claimed that Katie showed “attention-seeking behaviour” on the eve of Princess’s new ITV show to overshadow the launch. It comes as Katie has made several claims before the launch of her daughter’s reality series, The Princess Diaries, which starts on ITV2.Tensions are reportedly high between the two(Image: WireImage)The mum-of-five said she was banned from her daughter’s 18th birthday party and that her former management team – who look after ex-husband Peter Andre and Princess – did not want her on the show as they considered her “trash”.Speaking on her podcast, Katie said: “Princess was like ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming’. The fact is there’s stuff my daughter is doing and I’m not allowed to be seen at any of it.”But insiders claim Katie’s version of the truth is far from reality. It’s said that 18-year-old had arranged to see her mum on the morning of her birthday in June in London – but Katie failed to appear, The Mirror reports.A source said: “It was all in the diary but then Katie claimed she couldn’t make it as she was abroad. It was disappointing. For Katie to then say she was banned from the afternoon’s filmed party when she was the no-show in the morning is just beyond belief.”Fresh claims have been made(Image: Getty Images)The former Celebrity Big Brother winner was later pictured partying in Ibiza, and then Dubai. As well as that, she reportedly accidentally shared a happy birthday Instagram message to Princess – 36 hours before her daughter’s big day.Insiders are also confused by Katie’s attempts to “repeatedly insert herself into her daughter’s career.” The model herself said: “I have not been allowed to go on any photoshoots, signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. I’m not welcome.”But the source said: “Why is she making this all about her? What sort of person on the eve of her daughter’s show, starts throwing all these grenades and believes she knows what’s best, and should be given equal billing? It’s Princess’s life, her career.”A second source added: “It’s so unfair that Princess is going through all this when it is her show and it’s about her…Pete keeps quiet about the whole situation with Katie and just wants to support his children.”She’s close with her dad(Image: INSTAGRAM)Some question whether Katie could be jealous of her daughter’s success. The source said: “Princess’s career is flourishing. It was already predicted before she’s going to be the next Kylie Jenner and now she’s set to become a millionaire by next year.”One source also told The Mirror that it was “ludicrous” for her to have hit out at her ex-manager at The CAN Group. Katie previously claimed: “I’ve always said over my dead body would I want her managing my kids. She doesn’t like me.”However, a source claimed: “When Katie was at the height of her problems, including her drink-drive arrest a few years ago, she approached her former manager for help.”She was in such a bad way but her manager was really happy to help… She organised a job but Katie didn’t end up doing it. To turn around now and claim she wants nothing to do with her is nonsense. She wasn’t saying that at the time.”Friends say that Princess loves her mum but it hasn’t been the easiest growing up. In her new reality show, the teen influencer lifts the lid on her tumultuous childhood, including how tough it was when Katie split from her third husband, Kieran Hayler, in 2018.She’s starting her own showbiz career(Image: @katieprice/instagram)She said: “My mum, being heartbroken, didn’t deal with it in the best way. She went through a dark time. It was hard for me because I saw things kids don’t need to see, and my mum wasn’t emotionally able to be there.”Princess read stories at the time about her mum, including her driving bans, divorce and bankruptcy hearings. She said: “I would go into school and have people ask me questions about what they had seen in the papers and I would go home and cry.”The teenager’s relationship with her mother is much stronger now. “I’m still not really healed from what has happened but Mum is such a different person and has really fixed herself,” she said, before describing her mum as “my best friend”.She added: “She is so unpredictable. She just lives life and doesn’t care, and I really look up to that.” The CAN Group said: “We would never advise a client on their personal life unless asked and we have never stopped anyone seeing their families.”Article continues belowKatie Price did not respond to requests for comment, according to The Mirror. For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here. Matt Goss reveals crazed fan gave him grim gift saying ‘how do I explain that one?’

Bros popstar said a fan once put a frozen bird on his lap and he couldn’t stop wondering how he would have explained it if a paparazzi had taken a picture of him with the strange gift19:04, 09 Aug 2025Updated 19:04, 09 Aug 2025Matt Goss was once given a frozen turkey by a fan(Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images)Matt Goss has revealed a crazed fan gave him a frozen turkey. The present was so odd it left the Bros singer in a right flap.He said: “The weirdest things I get given are food. A fan once gave me a frozen turkey. It was placed on my lap when I was in a limo. She was adamant that I took it. At the time I didn’t realise it was a frozen turkey.“Afterwards I always imagined what it would have looked like if a paparazzi had taken a picture of me with a raw turkey on my lap. How do you explain that one?”The original line up of Bros – Craig Logan and Luke and Matt Goss(Image: Getty Images)It’s not the only time Matt has been given an unexpected gift by a fan. Since finding fame in the 80s, he had everything you could think of.He said: “I’ve had so many strange things. When you go to places like Japan, you get some crazy stuff.“I was given a Rolex and Yohji Yamamoto designer clothes. They were incredible things. I’ve had things from opposite ends of the spectrum!”Matt Goss revealed last year that he and his brother Luke are no longer on speaking terms(Image: Getty Images Europe)Matt was part of the iconic 80s pop rock band Bros with his twin brother, Luke, and childhood friend, Craig Logan but it has recently been revealed the brothers are estranged and no longer speaking. The pair are best known for their hit track “When Will I Be Famous”, which dominated the charts at the time.Matt himself has gone on to do a host of other projects, including taking to the Strictly dancefloor.Matt has since gone on to star on Strictly Come Dancing and has released his own music(Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images)But in an emotional interview with The Guardian last year, Matt revealed that he and his former bandmate Luke are no longer speaking to each other. While opting to keep specific details private, singer Matt admitted that he had tried his best to reconnect with his brother.”I don’t want to go into detail, but I also don’t want to lie any more – we are completely estranged,” he explained. “When you do your best, that is enough. And I’ve done my best. I really have.”Strictly star Matt added that he would love to reunite with his brother to share in the happy moments of his life, such as going to the pub or meeting each other’s children. “I want to live with him, but I’m not going to make myself unwell. I’m not,” he insisted. The star kept the reasons behind the rift between the brothers to himself “out of respect” for Luke. However, he was keen to stress that relations between the pair were not as good as they once were.”I love Luke, I do, but I can’t comment on that on the record,” Matt explained. “I don’t want to put myself in harm’s way.”Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here. Carol Vorderman shares foul-mouthed six-word response to criticism in stark admission

Carol Vorderman has opened up about her concerns over the growing issue of online abuse, noting that even women with no public profile are now subjected to regular criticismDaniel Windham18:30, 09 Aug 2025Carol Vorderman issued an expletive-laden response to criticism(Image: Dave J Hogan/Getty Images)Carol Vorderman has delivered a blunt assessment of the escalating online harassment targeting women, expressing her shock at how widespread the issue has become across social media. The ex-Countdown host, 64, revealed she frequently observes the hostile behaviour directed at women online – including those without any public standing – and confessed the pattern leaves her deeply concerned. In conversation with HuffPost UK, Vorderman explained: “When I go through Instagram, for instance – and I try to follow a whole range of different people, because you see the different lives that people are living and everything – every woman gets abuse! And I just think, ‘Hang on, what the f*** has happened here?'”Vorderman recognised that celebrities typically encounter criticism as an occupational hazard, but she was swift to highlight the stark gender disparity in how such harassment is distributed.”OK, if you earn a lot of money and you’re on the telly, there are huge advantages to that – you take a bit of criticism,” she remarked. “I mean, it’s not right – because it doesn’t happen to men.”But it’s like, ‘Well, at least I’m getting the benefits,’ financially or whatever it might be,” reports Bristol Live.Carol Voderman opened up on her “unstable” childhood which saw her run away with her mum(Image: Channel 4)Whilst emphasising that criticism shouldn’t become an accepted aspect of celebrity status, she suggested those in the spotlight might view it as an inevitable consequence. “You can kind of go, ‘Oh, everyone’s got to put up with the bad bits as well as the good bits, if you’re going to be famous.'”However, Vorderman expressed her deepest concern is for the treatment of ordinary women. She highlighted how average individuals, particularly young women, are now facing online vitriol simply for living their lives.”When you’re just a normal person, a young woman living a normal life, doing your best, working hard, trying to have a nice time with your mates, and you get abuse – for what? For why?” she questioned. “That’s the bit I worry about, more than celebrities being mocked.Carol Vorderman(Image: Getty Images)Article continues below”It’s not the fault of social media,” she continued, “but social media has allowed the nastiness of nasty people to be freely out there.”The presenter, who has become increasingly outspoken on political and social issues, frequently uses her platform to address matters impacting women and young people. Her recent remarks underscore a growing concern echoed by campaigners, who argue that online harassment has become an everyday aspect of digital life for many women, leading to increasing demands for enhanced protections and regulation. They went on to get engaged and welcome daughter Bambi, now two, and they have now rekindled their relationship after their split in 2024.But Tommy has admitted he isn’t keen for his little girl to sign up for the dating show when she’s older – or get into boxing for that matter. Asked how he’d feel if Bambi went on Love Island, he told the Telegraph magazine: “Oh, that’s a good question. I don’t even want to think about that…”I’d do my f***ing best [to stop her]! I don’t know. I don’t know! I’ll support her through anything.”He shares Bambi, two, with Molly(Image: Molly-Mae Hague Instagram)Discussing the potential of her following in his boxing footsteps, he said: “No. She’s too pretty to be a boxer. I’m going to take the black eyes and the broken ribs and the broken hands, so she doesn’t have to.”Tommy and Molly-Mae shocked fans when they announced their split in August 2024 but later reunited and he’s keen to have as many kids as possible.Molly and Tommy met in the villa and rekindled their romance earlier this year following their split(Image: Molly-Mae: Behind it all/Amazon Prime)He said: “I’d love to give Bambi a sibling.” Asked how many kids he wants, he said: “Forty. Me and Molly have had private conversations. I don’t think she’s quite on track for 40…”Obviously, I’m not the one giving birth. But all I ever wanted to do from when I was a young boy, I just wanted to have a family and do my boxing and look after them. My family is everything. I don’t care what happens in my life. I don’t care if boxing goes. Because if it were to happen again, I’ve got my family.”Tommy said it was love at first sight for him when Molly-Mae entered the Love Island villa as a bombshell. He said: “As soon as I saw her, it was game over. She’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my life. Inside and out. She is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”She probably thought, ‘Who is this guy? What is he doing near me?’ I think if I was going on a date with myself, I’d be a bit like that.”Article continues belowTommy also admitted he only signed up for the show because he wanted a free holiday, admitting: “My fight had got cancelled. I could do with a holiday. I haven’t got money to go. Don’t forget – I’m not Bill Gates’s son. I don’t come from millions of pounds.”Have you joined Threads?
