Coronation Street fans think Sarah attacked Adam as she cries by his bed

Coronation Street fans are sure that Sarah (Tina O’Brien) attacked her own husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) after noticing somewhat of a guilty conscience.

Sarah was emotional during Wednesday’s episodes, crying by his bed in hospital and also accusing her ex Gary Windass (Mikey North) of the attack.

But some viewers think she could be displaying a guilty conscience, as they know for a fact she was out and about on the night of the attack, as she told Gary she’d seen him on the street.

Viewers flocked to Twitter with their speculation, especially as Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) was seen binning the paint used for the graffiti, which seemingly cleared him of guilty from the attack.

One said: “Reckon Sarah did it and Gary was shifting that body still.”

Another wrote: “You’re a bit quick to jump to accusations Sarah. What have you got to hide?”

A third tweeted: “I don’t think it’s Carla or Peter. Gary would be too obvious. I think Sarah has done it. She has been confronting everyone and keeping quiet all the time. It’s as if she has something to hide. She is certainly hiding something.”

Someone else commented: “My money’s on Sarah she looks guilty.”

While a fifth added: “First Sarah accuses Peter, then Gary, really? Is she just trying to cover her own guilt maybe?”

Earlier, Gary had been adamant that he’d had nothing to do with the attack.

But it seems Sarah is still blaming him – at least for the situation as a whole.

Her on-off romance with Gary caused some sourness between her and Adam, and Adam slept with Carla Connor (Alison King).

And Carla’s affair left a number of characters fuming – but would any of them hate Adam enough to leave him for dead?

Other suspects include Peter Barlow and his son Simon.

But could it be someone completely random?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
