Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan puts wedding plans with Scott Sinclair on hold

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has confirmed that her “big day” plans are now on the back burner as she continues her lengthy two-year engagement to football ace Scott Sinclair.

Helen’s long-time love of 10 years got down on one knee to ask for hand in marriage during a family trip to Disneyland Paris in 2018.

Setting the perfect romantic scene, the Preston North End footballer popped the big question in front of the flamboyant pink fairytale castle.

The sportsman and the cobbles actress shared the romantic gesture with fans who excitedly couldn’t wait to see Helen in a white dress.

At the time, the actress, better known as Rosie Webster on the hit ITV soap, voiced to OK magazine: “I would love to have a Christmas wedding.”

Although she later changed her mind and announced that she had found her dream wedding dress and relayed that the wedding would be taking place in the summer instead.

However it seems now that all plans are completely postponed until further notice.

The mum-of-two has now confirmed that the pair have decided to delay their wedding plans due to Helen’s younger sister tying the knot next summer.

She explained to the Express: “Me and Scott have been together for 10 years, since forever.

“I know this sounds weird but because we’ve got children and been together for so long, we already feel like we’re married.

“We were going to get married this year but my little sister is getting married next summer, so maybe next year.”

The couple first started dating in 2009 and share two daughters together.

More recently, Helen revealed to the Mirror about the possibility of extending their family of four, after they had already welcomed their youngest daughter.

The soap babe said: “I’ve always said four but that will probably be too much, so I’ll say three.

“When you have two children, you just love them equally.

“I would love a girl or boy as long as they’re healthy, you’re just lucky to carry a baby aren’t you?”
