Dancing on Ice's Kevin Kilbane says he's 'happy to leave' the ITV show

Dancing On Ice star Kevin Kilbane has revealed he’s “happy to leave” the ITV show after meeting partner Brianne Delcourt.

Kevin, 42, and Brianne, 38, confirmed they’re a couple just four months after being partnered together on the show.

The were on today’s Lorraine discussing their flourishing romance, with Kevin saying he’s so happy with Brianne he wouldn’t mind leaving the show.

He said: “Everything happened really quickly. I still had huge reservations when I signed up for the show…then Brianna and I got together and everything’s great. I’m absolutely delighted.”

Kevin continued to admit he could leave the show and still be thrilled. He said: “”I could have actually quit before the show even started, that’s how it went for me.”

The couple have been going from strength to strength on the popular ice skating competition.

They discussed how Kevin has improved and grown in confidence as the weeks go by.”

Lorraine Kelly said: “People like yourself who maybe weren’t all that great… you’ve grown in confidence.”

Kevin said: “Brianne’s a tough coach as well.

“My very first day, I cracked my rib…I literally couldn’t stand up.”

On last weekend’s show, Radzi Chinyanganya was sent home while Caprice, who missed the previous week’s episode, was saved.

This sparked speculation among fans that Caprice being saved was planned in order to drive up ratings due to the mystery around her swapping partners.

One tweeted: “Well that was controversial. Shame such a great show is ruined by a silly and unfair decision to keep Caprice in. Was this a ratings decision?

“I think ITV are the winners tonight but the fans are definitely the losers. Let’s hope it does not backfire losing fans.”

A second wrote: “By keeping Caprice in, they get headlines and ratings on the show. This is why Gemma Collins was kept in last year.”

Lorraine continues on Monday at 9am on ITV1, while Dancing On Ice airs Sunday at 6pm on ITV2
