EastEnders' Danny Dyer turns heads as he splashes out £180k on flash new Bentley

Danny Dyer has splashed out on a brand new Bentley, Daily Star can reveal.

The EastEnders star, 43, spent an estimated £180,000 on the luxury motor.

He turned heads when he took it for a spin while on a shopping trip near his Essex home last week.

An onlooker said: “Danny was out and about in Loughton, which is a pretty affluent area. But even here, the car stood out because it is so flashy.”

It is thought Danny got the keys to his new motor just a few weeks ago.

The splurge comes after it was reported he is the highest-paid star on EastEnders.

Insiders say he is paid £400,000 a year to play loveable Mick Carter on the BBC soap.

It is thought that puts him £100,000 ahead of the show’s longest-serving star Adam Woodyatt, 52, who has played Ian Beale since 1985.

Danny also earns big money to front Saturday night quiz show The Wall, which is such a hit it has already returned for a second series and will have a celebrity spin-off this Christmas.

And he nets a lucrative pay packet to host a podcast with his daughter Dani, who is known for her stint on Love Island.

Experts estimate Danny is worth a whopping £4million.

A TV insider said: “Before he got the job on EastEnders, Danny was struggling, but since joining he has become one of TV’s biggest names and he has the pay packet to match.

“Danny is set to keep earning big money because he has no plans to quit EastEnders.”

Earlier this year he pledged his future to the show and said “I ain’t going nowhere”.

He said: “As long as they want Mick around, and as long as Mick’s involved in storylines that are inspiring and stuff that I really enjoy playing, and I’ve got my Carter little mob around me, I ain’t going nowhere, baby!

“It’s a great job. I’m very grateful for it. As long as they want me, I’m here!”

Danny recently revealed that he regrets turning down the role of Freddie Jackson in The Take.

Speaking on his podcast Sorted with the Dyers alongside daughter Dani, he opened up about turning down the role in the Sky crime drama.

Asked what he would tell his 15-year-old self, he said: “I’d have gone: ‘Right, you’re going to be offered a job called The Take.

“Say yes to it even though your agent and everyone is going, ‘No, don’t do it, because if you do this you’re going to be pigeonholed as a gangster for the rest of your life.’ “

The role of Freddie Jackson ended up going to Tom Hardy who would go on to take Hollywood by storm and even earn himself an Oscar nomination along the way.

Danny shocked listeners recently after he revealed that he’s taken up yoga.

He said: “I wear a tiny little pair of shorts but I prefer yin yoga where you don’t get up. Every move is on the floor and every pose if four minutes long, it’s all about stretching your muscles.

“My favourite is the dead frog, you sort of lay on the floor as if you’ve been run over, like the recovery position, it’s all candlelit. It’s about controlling your mind in 40 degrees heat.”

EastEnders continues on BBC One on Monday at 8.05pm
