Strictly Come Dancin g star Maisie Smith, 19, has opened up about her insecurities, revealing despite her confidence on the BBC dance floor the starlet still worries about her legs.
The actress, who plays Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders, took to her official Instagram account before sharing a selection of snaps of her heading to training in a pair of shorts.
Dressed down, Maisie looked carefree and relaxed but in the caption section of the post she admitted she was far from it.
The starlet said: “Here lies a collection of photos taken at the exact same time, however, from different angles, under different lighting.
“The past few years I’ve been very insecure about my legs. I covered them up as much possible.
“No matter how many people told me ‘cellulite is natural… everyone has it,’ I still hated them.

“It’s taken me a while but I’m starting to accept these aspects of myself that I’ve always seen as ‘flaws’.”
The honest star went on to reveal she’s only been wearing shorts in public for the past few weeks.
“I wore gym shorts (out of the house) for the first time a couple of months ago and I was so so proud of myself,” she continued.
“I wish I could I say that I love my body but I’m still working on that.”
Since joining Strictly Maisie has been on the receiving end of criticism that she’s “too confident”.
Earlier this week Gemma Atkinson, who is dating Maisie’s dancing partner Gorka Maquez, took to social media to seemingly defend the starlet.
Begging younger viewers not to dampen their own talent for others, the former Emmerdale star posted a short statement on her Instagram story.

Gemma wrote: “To the younger generation watching Strictly.
“Never ever dumb down your talent or ability or enthusiasm just to please a load of jealous people on the Internet.
“The most important thing a girl wears is her confidence.”
Speaking in an Instagram Q and A session, Maisie has told fans that her confidence is simply a cover-up for her insecurities.
The star wrote: “It’s a disguise.
“Deep down I’m scared to book an appointment for the hairdressers. I have to practise what I’m going to say.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, 8pm on BBC One
