Rebekah Vardy has said that she is hopeful that her ongoing court battle with Coleen Rooney, nicknamed Wagatha Christie, could potentially be settled soon.
Rebekah, 38, is suing Coleen, 34, for libel after being accused of leaking stories about Coleen’s private life, something which she has furiously denied.
But Dancing on Ice star Rebekah appears keen to try and resolve things, as she told Hello! magazine: “The new year could potentially see a resolution between us.
“I’m sure the public are sick of reading about it too.”
Last month, Rebekah won the first round of the legal battle after a judge ruled that Coleen, who is married to footballer Wayne, had “clearly identified” her in a post about alleged story leaks from her personal Instagram account.

Coleen was told she had to pay Rebekah’s legal costs of £23,000 for the preliminary hearing.
The court heard the pair agree to delay any further proceedings until February next year in a “final attempt to solve the matter without a full trial”.
Meanwhile, Rebekah, who is hard at work training for Dancing on Ice, has revealed how much she is enjoying the training sessions.

The former I’m A Celeb star said: “I’m so excited and loving every minute of it.
“I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’m fit, healthy and happy and when I’m on the ice I feel exhilarated and as free as a bird.”
The mum-of-five also opened up about spending Christmas with her little ones and husband Jamie after a difficult year.

She and Jamie, who she married in 2016, share three children, Sofia, Finlay and Olivia Grace together, and she also has a son and a daughter from a previous relationship with footballer Luke Foster.
Rebekah said: “My family were Jehovah’s Witnesses.
“I wasn’t allowed to celebrate Christmas or go to birthday parties, to attend school assemblies – the list goes on.
“On Christmas Day, I had to join the church elders to knock on people’s doors and try to convert them.
“I feel like I missed out on so many precious times. That’s why I go crazy with decorations now.
“It’s almost as if I’m reliving my childhood. I want to do everything I couldn’t do when I was younger.”
