Scarlett Moffatt’s budding TV career faced numerous setbacks last year as the former Gogglebox star didn’t return to three shows.
The Geordie lass didn’t reappear on I’m A Celeb’s Extra Camp, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and was replaced as a team captain on Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility.
Following her departure on CelebAbilty, which saw the star replaced by Stacey Solomon, Scarlett hit back at claims she was sacked by ITV, and admitted it was her decision to walk away from the programme.
The former 30-year-old admitted she wanted to leave the panel show, and was behind Stacey’s hire, saying she proposed for the mum-of-three to take her spot.

Speaking to The Sun, Scarlett opened up about her diminishing TV commitments, and confessed she had planned to do pantomime – something she couldn’t have signed up for with her previous work schedule.
“I was going to do the show but then I wanted to do panto really bad. I love panto,” she said.
The brunette bombshell explained the panto would clash when they were filming CelebAbility, and talk soon turned to her replacement.

When Loose Women panelist Stacey was mentioned as a replacement, Scarlett exclaimed: “OMG Stacey is the best fit for this role.”
“So I’m really excited about it. So I’ll be watching and rooting for Iain and Stacey. I’m not precious over roles [laughs].”
She starred as the fairy godmother in Sunderland Empire’s production of Cinderella in December.

And it seems Stacey Solomon’s new presenting gig has gone down well with show host Iain Stirling.
He said: “She is just brilliant. She is an absolute professional, an absolute charmer and a joy to work with.
“It’s been a real honour actually. TV royalty!”
