He told The Mirror: “I was going on tour, doing a TV series and panto but it all got cancelled in March. Now I am literally skint!

Shane also explained: “I got rid of my car but only because I lease a car for my wife for the school run. I can get around on a moped.
“I am alright, I have had a career and if it all finishes tomorrow, so be it. If the worst comes to the worst, I’ll do stand-up or resurrect a musical.”
Shane has also presented several gameshows, including Reflex and Win Your Wish List.
Discussing his finances in his autobiography, Rags to Richie, he explained: “Despite all the money coming in, I didn’t put a single penny to one side.”

Before the coronavirus pandemic caused it to be postponed, the actor starred in the musical Everyone’s Talking About Jamie as a retired drag queen.
According to The Sun, Shane had expected to earn a whopping £100,000 for his work on stage, which has now been postponed until 2021.
