Coronavirus fears see gig promoter Live Nation warn touring acts 'prepare to go home'

Concert promoter Live Nation has reportedly told its touring acts “prepare to go home” amid Coronavirus fears.

CBS Assignments Editor Ben Warwick shared the news to his 1,500 followers on Twitter.

According to Billboard, “earlier the company told employees it is recognising large gatherings around the world are being canceled and the company will be postponing current touring arena shows through the end of the month. Some select shows will play out over the next few days, but the remainder of the concerts will be postponed.”

Live Nation is reportedly also telling its staff to work remotely and its Beverly Hills headquarters is predominantly closed.

A company executive reportedly told employees that the situation will be reassessed in April.

The goal is then to resume work as normal in May.

There is currently no announcement on Live Nation’s website regarding the news over Coronavirus.

Live Nation is one of the world’s biggest concert promoter and works with some of the world’s biggest acts.

Their UK touring roster includes a very impressive lineup this year.

Pop sensation Lady Gaga is due to tour here in July, with her Lady Gaga: The Chromatica Ball at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.

Korean boyband sensation BTS will also be putting on shows in the UK in July with their BTS: Map of the Soul tour, they will be playing two gigs at Twickenham stadium.

Both acts have not made any statements yet in regards to whether their concerts will be pulled.
