Disney’s Chris Tavarez pled no contest to one count of felony domestic violence with a prior conviction.
The 27-year-old actor has been sentenced to serve a 5-year suspended sentence.
However, he was expected to serve 300 days behind bars but with credit, for the 153 days, he has already served locked up he will serve just four months.
It was reported in November that the Los Angeles District Attorney had charged Tavarez following an incident with his girlfriend that left her with concussion.
Speaking to TMZ, the attorney for Los Angeles claimed that the “prior conviction” had folded into his new charge which had stemmed from an incident which saw him charged with two counts of spousal battery.
The US outlet claimed that the actor had pled no contest to one count and had to serve 180 days in prison, as well as completing a 52-week Domestic Violence Treatment Program, pay a fine and was also ordered to stay away from his victim.
It’s believed that the second count was dismissed with Chris being placed on a “36 months summary probation”.
Several weeks ago, Tavarez, was arrested following an incident which saw him hit out at his girlfriend, pushing her hard enough for her to hit her head.

Her injuries resulted in her suffering from concussion.
Police were called to the scene of the incident but upon arrival discovered that Tavarez had fled.
Cops also noticed marks on his girlfriend’s body but she refused to seek any medical treatment.

Insiders close to the family claim that she later sought medical advice and was told she was suffering a concussion.
Chris Tavarez was arrested two days later.
He is also known for his role in the Disney Channel film, Avalon High and his appearance in Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns.
