Eamonn Holmes took his health issues into his own hands by asking fans for medical advice rather than visiting his local GP.
The presenter, 60, shared a snap of his bloodshot eye to his 383,000 followers on Instagram, and queried the seriousness of his bloody eye.
Showing off his peeper on social media, he captioned the post: “This appeared today… should I be worried?”
In another post, he shared an illustrated portrait of his eye, created by artist Colin Davidson.
Underneath, he wrote: “For the Record… As my friend, the artists Colin Davidson illustrates, this is the way my eye normally looks.”

He rounded off his photo-reel with a third snap of eye-patch wearing John Wayne in 1969 movie True Grit.
He then chipped in: “Just in case you don’t recognise me… this could well be how I’ll look on This Morning tomorrow if I need an eye patch! True Grit that’s me.”
Eamonn’s followers soon shared their advice and thoughts about his painful-looking eye, but many told him not to panic as it’s nothing serious.

TV personality Lizzie Cundy wrote: “Get some chloramphenicol drops ASAP.”
While another user shared their wise wisdom: “It’s a burst blood vessel. It will go away on its own.”
“I had one before – just a burst blood vessel. It went after a few days but sometimes can be a sign of high blood pressure so worth getting it checked,” a third chipped in.

Eamonn Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford fill in for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning on Fridays.
However they will be presenting throughout the week this week due to Holly and Phil being on a break during the school half term holidays.
Hopefully, his eye will be back to normal soon and he can stop worrying.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
