EastEnders fans will find out tonight which character dies as the soap’s big 35th anniversary week reaches a tragic climax.
Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) has given birth to Keanu Taylor’s baby.
It’s a good job Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was on hand to play midwife.
But as a new life arrives in Albert Square, another is going to be wiped out, sending repercussions throughout Walford for many months to come.

They have also slipped in lots of “Easter eggs” over the week that pay homage to memorable scenes from the past 35 years.
But did you spot them? Here they are…
l Hewitt’s Coaches, which took everyone to the Thames, was named after temptress Mrs Hewitt who broke up Pauline and Arthur Fowler.

l The place where they were heading was called Fassett Dock – a nod to the real-life Fassett Square, which Albert Square is based on.

l Mick and Linda Carter’s divorce papers being slapped on the bar of The Queen Vic was a tribute to Den Watts serving wife Angie divorce papers on Christmas Day, 1986.
l Leo King was hit over the head with a jewellery box by Whitney Dean – just like when Bobby Beale used a music box to bash sister Lucy in 2014.
l Photos littered around the walls of the party boat showed previous landlords, landladies and punters from over the years.
