Emmerdale actress Charlotte Bellamy has revealed a “disastrous” change the ITV show might have to make after the coronavirus lockdown.
The 47-year-old soap star, who plays the role of Laurel Thomas on the popular programme, spilled the beans to Lorraine Kelly on today’s Good Morning Britain about “planning” in place for future filming.
Charlotte exposed changes that are likely to take place, saying: “They’ve been planning and working how we’re going to do it.
“A set is a very small space…It’s going to be a very different way of working.”
She continued: “I’m sure we’ll have to do our own hair and makeup” saying it will be “disastrous”.

Emmerdale halted filming when lockdown occurred to follower government social distancing guidelines in a bid to stop spread of the virus.
At the moment the ITV show is airing three episodes a week after filming stopped.
During a scene which aired last week, fans spotted a hidden coronavirus clue.

Viewers eyebrows were certainly raised when Luke Posner washed his hands in time to the Happy Birthday tune.
When Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) quizzed him about the particular song choice, Luke (Max Parker) answered: “It’s how we’re supposed to time washing your hands.”
When the coronavirus outbreak first spread throughout the UK, Boris Johnson advised the nation to wash their hands in time with the birthday song.

He said: “Crucially, we must not forget what we can all do to fight this virus, which is to wash our hands with soap and hot water for the length of time it takes to sing Happy Birthday twice.”
Fans flocked to Twitter, certain that the hand-washing reference was linked to the government advice.
One said: “#Emmerdale did Emmerdale just predict ‘rona??”
While another added: “Assuming if he’s doing the Happy Birthday hand washing, this means this ep was filmed before lockdown and we don’t have many more episodes left. Boo.”
