Emmerdale star Lisa Riley revealed she tragically lost a loved-one to coronavirus in recent weeks, after the death of her great-uncle Bert.
Appearing on Lorraine this morning, as part of Good Morning Britain, the 43-year-old opened up about the heartbreaking death in her family.
The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, revealed Bert was 104 when he sadly passed away after testing positive for the virus.
She said: “Unfortunately he is one of the statistics but what a life to celebrate.”
Lisa revealed she got in touch with her aunt in an effort to think up different ways to honour Bert’s life and legacy in the coming weeks.

Once the lockdown restrictions are lifted, the soap star plans to organise a family barbecue, with a Frank Sinatra sing-a-long in his honour.
Lisa said she would “sing like uncle Bert would have done”.
Lorraine shared her condolences with the family and hoped they were reunited soon following such a tragic loss.
Lisa is currently self-isolating at home with her long-term partner Al, though she makes sure to stay in touch with her Emmerdale co-stars every day.
Referring to Bradley Johnson, who plays her adopted son Vinny on the soap, she said: “We FaceTime each other.”
Lisa added that she had called Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas Dingle, earlier in the morning for a hearty catch-up.
