Melanie Panayiotou’s body was found at her £6.2 million home in Hampstead, North London, previously owned by her brother, on Christmas Day, 2019.
And now seven months later the cause of her death has been confirmed.
According to a new report, that was first published in The Mirror, the former hairdresser passed away after falling into a diabetic coma as a result of diabetic ketoacidosis.
A post-mortem was carried out and in March this year, Melanie’s cause of death was certified by Assistant Coroner for Inner London North, Jonathan Stevens.

Around her time of death, which was shrouded in mystery, it was claimed she had died from a broken heart following her brother George’s untimely passing.
However, the report stated that diabetes was given as an underlying cause of death.
Elsewhere, it also recorded other significant factors contributing to her death were hypertensive heart disease, bronchopneumonia and obesity.

Much loved music icon George died aged 53, of natural causes at home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, on December 25 2016.
An inquest later revealed he had died from heart failure and liver disease.
Melanie was buried next to their mother Leslie and her brother George’s unmarked grave in Highgate Cemetery.
It was previously reported, the Faith hitmaker left most of his £97.6million estate to sisters Melanie and Yioda.
George and Melanie were particularly close as his sibling travelled the world with him at the height of his Wham! fame.
