Gino D'Acampo risks backlash with crude fat joke during Gordon Ramsay Road Trip

The fun-loving Italian chef couldn’t resist making a controversial joke about plus-sized women wearing thongs as he, Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix made it to Las Vegas.

After arriving in Sin City, the trio were taken to try out a seriously expensive burger.

Costing a staggering $700, the burger boats two slices of foie gras, lobster, wagyu beef, goats cheese and 100-year-old balsamic vinegar.

As they sat down at the bar to wait for the burger to be cooked, the lads were treated to a glass of luxury champagne.

Looking confused, Gino laughed: “Having champagne with a burger is like when you see a fat lady wearing a thong.”

As Fred and Gordon laughed, Gino added: “Nothing wrong with that… it is still ok.”

Taking to Twitter to talk about the risky comment, one viewer wrote: “‘Is it like when a fat lady wears a thong?’ Thanks for that comparison, Gino.'”

Another added: “Champagne and a burger is like a fat girl in a thong – Gino, pure class.”

“Champagne with a burger is like a fat lady with a thong,” a third repeated with a string of laughing emojis before adding: “#myfaves.”

Despite the massive price tag and fancy ingredients, Fred wasn’t that impressed.

“It’s alright, but I just can’t compute the price and the taste,” the First Dates regular explained.

Meanwhile, Gordon added: “It is disgustingly expensive but it is bloody delicious.”

Later on in the show, Gino, Gordon and Fred visited a ranch were they were invited to eat cow testicles.

Unable to resist a cheeky joke, Gino laughed: “I have been telling my wife for 25-years to put balls in her mouth and she always says no. She is missing out.”
