Tributes have been pouring in for former Glee actress Naya Rivera after authorities in California confirmed her death.
Naya, 33, went missing last week after a day out on Lake Piru, Ventura County with her son, Josey.
The alarm was raised after the four-year-old tot was discovered alone on the floating vessel hours after it was due back to the rental company.
Local law enforcement and search & rescue agencies had been searching the vast lake since July 8 before a body was sadly discovered earlier this evening on July 13.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department later confirmed the body was that of Naya.

Since the tragic news broke tributes from Naya’s co-stars and celebrities have been pouring in for the late mum-of-one.
Leading the way was Jane Lynch, who played Sue Sylvester in Glee alongside Naya.
The 59-year-old actress penned: “Rest sweet, Naya. What a force you were. Love and peace to your family.”

Josh Sussman who played Jacob Ben Isreal tweeted: “[Broken heart emoji] Naya, you will be missed so much,” before closing with a sad face emoji.
Singer Max George, who once starred in an episode of Glee also shared a heartbreaking tribute, adding: “Absolutely devastating news about Naya Rivera. Beautiful inside and out. You will be missed greatly. RIP Naya. Thoughts with all her friends and family at this awful time.”
The official Twitter account for Ru Paul’s Drag Race shared a snap of Naya sitting on the panel, alongside the message: “Naya Rivera was truly a light and showed us all how to be unapologetically ourselves. We send our most heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans in this difficult time. Rest in peace, #NayaRivera”
Fox TV who are responsible for broadcasting Glee released an emotional tribute alongside a picture of Naya beaming from ear-to-ear.
The broadcaster said: “Naya Rivera was a fierce talent with so much more to do this is such a terrible tragedy. We are forever grateful for the indelible contribution she made to GLEE, from the first episode to the last.
“Our hearts are broken and our thoughts go out to Naya’s family, friends and young son.”

US film giant Lionsgate shared a touching statement, reading: “Our hearts go out to Naya Rivera’s family, especially her young child. She was a vibrant and luminous talent who will always remain a very special part of our ‘Step Up’ family.
“Her memory will be carried on through her lasting contributions to our industry.”
Kristin Chenoweth who appeared in the hit comedy as April Rhodes tweeted a snap of Naya cradling her son, Josey, with the message: “Thank you for what you gave the world. I love you.”
Former Glee writer and producer Michael Hitchcock added: “Naya brought so much joy to our lives. She had the sharpest wit, the slyest smile, a compassion for people from all walks of life, and a talent that knew no bounds.
“My deepest condolences to her family, friends, co-workers, and fans around the world. We love you so much, Naya.”
