GMB Ben Shephard sends fans into meltdown with lockdown hair transformation

Ben Shephard left his fans in hysterics as he shared his hilarious lockdown hair this weekend.

The 45-year-old Good Morning Britain star shared a surprise new snap as he explained how long his hair had grown amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Despite going into the ITV studios to present GMB at least once a week as usual, Ben is following government guidelines and staying at home.

He shared the hilarious edited picture which showed Ben with completely different hair.

The photograph was clearly edited, as he posted a video online with far shorter hair a few days prior.

He confirmed that it was a Photoshopped snap in the comments, as some fans believed his new ‘do was for real.

Ben’s hilarious joke selfie saw him rocking a mullet, sending his followers into a frenzy over his brand-new ‘do.

His brunette locks – which are usually trimmed short – had gone wild, with his long barnet tumbling to his shoulders.

Ben shared the hilarious snap with his 344k followers on Instagram.

He joked in the caption: “Not gonna lie, if teenaged me in the late 80s got a sniff of my lockdown barnet, he’d be beside himself.

“Channelling every great 80s high school movie character!!

“Party at the back business at the front, who doesn’t love a good mullet – how’s yours coming on?”

Ben’s fans rushed to comment on the funny post, appreciating some comedy amid the current coronavirus pandemic.

One said: “Haha good one.”

Another fan was gobsmacked and asked: “Is that actually for real?!” with Ben replying, “if only,” with some funny emojis.

A third joked: “At a first glance, I thought it was Michael Ball.”

Ben’s GMB co-star Piers Morgan commented saying: “Actually a strong look.”
