Grimes is selling her soul for a whooping $10 million (£8.1million).
The 32-year-old singer will be presenting drawings, prints, photographs and conceptual pieces to the world her upcoming art show Selling Out.
The exhibition will also see the girlfriend of billionaire Elon Musk offer something truly hard to grasp – a legal document that gives the lucky buyer a percentage of her soul.
Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, questions the nature of celebrity and personal identity in the piece, which she told Bloomberg she didn’t even want to sell initially.
She said: “I didn’t want anyone to buy it, so I said we should just make it $10million and then it probably won’t sell.”

The new mother became more interested in the ideas behind the contract as she began to discuss details with her lawyer.
Explaining to Bloomberg, she added: “The deeper we got with it, the more philosophically interesting it became.”
The Art Angels singer was also intrigued by the idea of collaborating with her lawyer, saying: “The idea of fantastical art in the form of legal documents just seems very intriguing to me.”
While the original plan was to sell the piece for $10million, Grimes since decided to take the “best offer” on the table.
Though this is Grimes’ first official gallery affair, set for online exhibition via Maccarone Los Angeles from May 28 to August 31, the star has been making art for years.
She explained: “I see myself as a visual artist first and foremost, and I’ve always felt strange that people know me for music.”
Even though she’s found fame through music, Grimes is known for the unique visual style that surrounds her albums and songs, something which she described as ‘edgy-looking, anime-horror.’
Her art has graced album covers and tour merchandise, and many – if not most – of her music videos have been collaborations with brother Mac Boucher.

Just after the birth, Grimes broke down her son’s name, symbol by symbol, explaining that the X stood for, “the unknown variable” while AE refers to the “elven spelling of Ai,” meaning ‘love &/or Artificial intelligence.
The A-12 stands for the ‘precursor to SR-17, which is the couple’s favourite aircraft because it has ‘no weapons, no defences, just speed,’ adding: “Great in battle but non-violent.”
Though quite a bit of thought went into the name, Grimes admitted she still has a nickname for her baby boy, who she told Bloomberg she calls “Little X”.
The child is Grimes’ first, but Musk’s seventh. He shares his six eldest children, Nevada, Damien, Saxon, Griffin, Xavier and Kai, with his first wife, Justine, who he was married to from 2000 to 2008.
Musk, 48, and Grimes went public with their relationship in May 2018 at the star-studded annual Met Gala event.
