In tonight’s Holby City, viewers were left terrified for loveable Carole Copeland (Julia Deakin) after she went into the hospital for an operation.
She wasn’t feeling great about the surgery, and even spoke to her son Dom (David Ames) about funeral arrangements if the worst was to happen.
Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry) was on hand to do the operation, which made Carole feel slightly better – but she wasn’t out of the woods.
He soon discovered a bleed while he was performing the surgery, which left viewers terrified that Carole could die in theatre.
One said: “Carole is going to be fine right?”

Another begged: “Oh God, Carole! She has to be OK!”
A third tweeted: “Dazzle can’t take anymore heartache, Carole better be OK!”
Someone else wrote: “I’m scared for Carole please don’t kill her off.”
A fifth added: “If Carole actually does die now I will be seriously upset.”
Luckily, after bringing in Ben Sherwood (Charlie Condou) in to help, Henrik found the source of the bleed and fixed the situation.
Dom was left relieved, but lashed out at Ben after he was kept in the dark about what was going on.

Viewers are now hoping that Dom’s attitude towards Carole will change.
One said: “Dom will hopefully be nicer to Carole now.”
And a second tweeted: “Yes to Dom telling Carole he loved her.”
Elsewhere, Zav Duval (Marcus Griffiths) clashed with Cameron Dunn (Nic Jackman) after Cam got involved in Zav’s surgery.
Viewers are concerned about Cam’s manipulative ways going forward – but how far will he go?
Holby City airs Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC One
