Judge Judy announcer Jerry Bishop has died aged 84, following a battle with heart disease.
The TV personality died on Tuesday, with a decades-long career to his name.
According to People, Judge Judy’s publicist Gary Rosen confirmed his death in a statement to the publication.
Bishop is best remembered as the announcer on Judge Judy, narrating the legal figure’s entrance and exit in the courtroom.
Celebrity judge Judy Sheindlin, 77, paid tribute to Bishop over social media, expressing her sorrow over his passing.
She said: ”Jerry Bishop has been the voice of our program for 24 years. Everybody loved him.
“He had a golden heart and generous spirit.”

She added: “I adored him and will miss him.”
Bishop remained the announcer on the show until his death this week.
The episodes he has worked on will continue playing until next year, 24 years after voicing his first instalment of Judge Judy.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut in the mid-30s, Bishop studied journalism at Emmerson College, hoping to work in broadcasting.
Before launching a career in voiceover work, Bishop made a name for himself on the radio, appearing on a number of Los Angeles radio stations during drive time.
Between the 60s and 80s, his voice could be heard on stations such as KFI, KIIS and KLAC.
Bishop also voiced several famous advertisements in the US, for major brands such as Miller, Coors, Budweiser and Burger King.
Disney Channel also hired the beloved star to read out different announcements on the network over a 15 year period.
Bishop is survived by his three daughters – Karen Rosenbloom, Michelle Carriker and Stephanie Blume.
