Judy Finnigan spotted rubbing sore feet off-camera in This Morning editing blunder

Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan made a welcome return to the This Morning studio today, flexing their presenting chops 19 years after officially leaving the role.

The lovebirds, who tied the knot back in 1986, were temporarily replacing hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as they took some well-deserved time off.

At one point in this morning’s show, Richard and Judy hopped in a golf cart and sped throughout the ITV studios to catch up with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

This weekend will see the return of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, in the show’s sixteenth series in two decades.

Sitting in front of the golf cart, Richard and Judy headed to meet with the iconic duo to discuss the series’ return.

But while they chatted, viewers couldn’t help but spot Judy had taken her shoes off to give her sore feet a rub.

The editing department must have accidentally angled the camera in the wrong direction, as the scratch was broadcasted as part of the live show.

Taking to Twitter, viewers praised Judy’s realness, making it clear they found her carefree body language in front of the camera a breath of fresh air.

One said: There is nothing worse than having sore toes ….. l love the way Judy took off her shoes and rubbed her toes in front of Ant and Dec…. no pretence …. just a down to earth, a fab couple ….. brilliant presenters …..that is presenting.”

A second added: “Means she is relaxed and at home.”

And a third remarked: “Wish Richard and Judy presented more often, today’s programme was fab.”

Could a Richard and Judy return be on the cards, back by popular demand?

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
