Love Island beauty Maura Higgins has opened up about her relationship with Curtis Pritchard, following their split a few weeks ago.
The Dancing on Ice babe admitted their relationship was “strange” in an honest chat with the Sun on Sunday.
Former ring girl Maura, 29, also admitted that work took a toll on their union, and ultimately forced the pair to part ways.
Speaking candidly, Maura divulged: “At the beginning it was very, very hard because I was so besotted with him, and we never got to see each other.
“When we did, it was really nice because you got the time to miss somebody. But sometimes it would be two weeks.”
She continued: “You know when you’re in a relationship and you know someone’s day to day? We were that busy that we didn’t, and it was strange.”

Maura said that she and Curtis, 24, started to really feel the impact that work had on their relationship, when she was busy training for her stint on Dancing on Ice.
She shared: “He was coming to some of the shows and stuff, but we were still very, very busy and it just took a toll on the relationship in the end.”

Maura concluded that as she’s turning 30 this year, she wants to be in a relationship she feels has a future, and ultimately she felt her romance with Curtis wasn’t set to go the distance.
“[Curtis] is 24 – maybe he did want that, maybe he didn’t, I don’t know, but I just felt it wasn’t going in that direction.
“The time apart as well… I want somebody I can be with most days,” she said.
