Michael Bublé's wife Luisana Lopilato speaks out after 'concerns for her safety'

Michael Buble’s wife Luisana Lopilato has defended her husband after some fans expressed concern about his behaviour during Instagram live streams.

Earlier this week, the 44-year-old singer filmed himself singing and reading children’s books for his 2.4m followers with his wife by his side.

However, a few who viewed the video accused him of elbowing his wife when she spoke over him, and demanding an apology.

When Michael pulled his wife in for a loving hug, a few viewers incorrectly perceived the move as too “aggressive”.

An earlier video, in which Michael jokingly asked his wife for divorce, similarly raised red flags with fans.

Later releasing a statement to her 4.7m followers about the allegations, the Argentine actress, 32, insisted she had “no doubts” about her husband and condemned viewers’ criticism of his body language.

The statement, which was written in Spanish and translated by Hola! read: “It’s incredible how some people are!!

“While we are in the middle of a pandemic, and living our lives under quarantine, angst, fear, loneliness, and uncertainty of all kinds!

“[I] come out every day with my husband to try to do [Instagram] lives to bring some happiness, entertainment, longing, and we have to put up with, hear and see what people with ill intentions are posting without knowing anything about our family and after all the pain that we have experienced.

Certain viewers were concerned the hug was “too aggressive”

“I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would chose him again a thousand times over!”

Luisana continued: “Without anymore to say and doing what I believe is correct when someone comes after my family, and leave the consequences to God!

“The world needs more now than ever ‘love, faith, values, unity and solidarity’ NOT these kind of people.”

The couple later released another video together, in which Luisana highlighted the importance of women’s issues, saying she was fortunate “not to suffer”.

She said: “It’s very important that we pay attention to these problems that have been mentioned and that I am lucky not to suffer.

“But it is important to pay attention to be able to help women that are going through it.”
