Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher has admitted he’s been “panic buying booze” as the UK remains in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The High Flying Birds frontman, 52, had no qualms in revealing he’s been stocking up on alcohol as the deadly virus continues to spread throughout the world.
The singer told the Funny How? podcast: “I’ve been panic buying booze.”
Noel has been stuck in the house with wife Sara MacDonald and their children.
He confessed he had to stockpile on booze to help him cope with isolation.
Noel said: “Now that the pubs are shut the only thing to now [do] is to drink your way through it.

“If you don’t leave the house you’ll be OK. I don’t see anybody anyway, I ride my bike where I live and you get the odd car on the road but I don’t stop to talk to anybody.
“I can easily shut the door and stay in.”
Noel said that the supermarkets near his Hampshire home have all suffered the same empty-shelves-fate as the rest of the supermarkets in the country.
Outrage hit headlines last month when selfish shoppers’ stockpiling meant NHS workers and vulnerable people were having to go without certain items, such as toilet roll.
But this hasn’t stopped Noel having a few drinks to pass the days of lockdown with his loved ones.

He explained: “We’re out of London, so well away from the mad house, we’re alright.”
“I live 75 miles outside of London now, so it’s different out here, I was in the supermarket because I wanted to see the bare shelves.
“I was in there because I thought, ‘I’ll get a load of booze’. And all that was there was a load of gluten-free Peroni. All the beers were gone.”
Noel went on to question other Brits for bulk buying toilet paper.
He asked: “What I want to know is what is it with the toilet roll?
“I live in ignorant bliss of everything, I don’t watch the news, but when I heard that people were buying toilet roll, I thought, ‘Oh, does it give you the s***s?’ It was like, ‘No.’

“But people are mass buying toilet roll and hand sanitiser. I’m just going to wipe my a*** with one of my children.”
It comes days after Noel’s brother Liam Gallagher, 46, had a go at him for joking about burning his house down.
Liam also confronted Noel over a potential Oasis reunion to raise funds for the NHS after the coronavirus pandemic is over.
Let’s hope we see the brothers reunite on stage soon.
