Former children’s entertainer Paul Chuckle, real name Paul Elliott, has explained how he is related to two very familiar faces.
The ChuckleVision star, 72, is related to two Gogglebox stars – Blackpool siblings Pete and Sophie Sandiford.
Speaking to Metro’s Sixty Seconds, the funnyman explained: “I’m their great uncle. I think they’re the funniest couple on it. They’re just lovely kids.”
Back in 2018, Pete and Sophie were photographed attending the funeral of Paul’s brother Barry, who sadly passed away at the age of 73.
Speaking of his famous brother’s death, Paul added: “It’s 18 months since Barry died. It was hard at first.

“We were a double act for 55 years, so to walk on stage and not have him to bounce off and laugh with, to think I’ll never have that again, that’s the hard bit. I just have to crack on.”
But if he’s looking for a comedy partner, he should look no further than his great-nephew Pete, whose funny quips have made him and sister Sophie two of the most popular Gogglebox stars.
They joined the Channel 4 show in its 10th series in 2017 and have been part of the furniture ever since.

Pete, 26, works in insurance when he’s not being paid to watch television.
Meanwhile, sister Sophie, 24, works as a shop window dresser.
They’ve got two other siblings who don’t appear on Gogglebox too – Harry and Lucy – but they all hang out together regularly.

In fact, back in 2017, they all appeared in the ad campaign for Talk Talk’s This Stuff Matters, with Pete appearing on the billboards.
Pete and Sophie have enjoyed their telly fame so far, with Pete racking up 50,000 followers on Instagram and Sophie collecting 58,000.
They’ll be back on television tonight with Gogglebox, which airs at 9pm on Channel 4.
