Playboy model Ashley Mattingly has died aged 33.
According to TMZ, the model was found dead at her home in Austin, Texas, on Friday, after a friend raised concerns about her welfare.
The Austin Police Department reportedly went to her home for a wellness check, where they discovered her body.
According to the publication, her sister and twin brother claimed she left a “suicide note” before taking her own life earlier in the week.
Her family reportedly told the website they were hopeful her story could “raise awareness about suicide”.
Mattingly, who previously battled substance abuse issues, was Playboy’s Miss March in 2011.

Featured in the centrefold of the magazine, the Playmate was usually photographed nude, accompanied by a pull-out poster.
A Playmate Data Sheet often accompanied the shoot, which listed her birthdate, measurements, turn-ons, and turn-offs.

The following year, her then-boyfriend Lane Garrison was convicted of domestic battery.
In 2016, Mattingly was charged with a DUI after allegedly hitting four parked cars with her golf cart while driving.
At the time of her death, Mattingly lived alone in her Austin home with her golden labrador puppy, named Miss Jean.
The nine-month-old puppy had apparently been recently adopted by the model in an effort to combat her loneliness.
Miss Jean is now under the care of Mattingly’s family.
