TV legend Ricky Gervais couldn’t resist ‘hitting’ the like button of a condemning tweet about the Beckhams.
Victoria Beckham rustled a few feathers recently after it had been claimed her company applied for taxpayers money, via the government furlough scheme, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Some critics believed that Victoria’s company shouldn’t be given this option, given the huge personal wealth the Beckhams have.
The Office star seemingly appeared to share some agreement with critics who had run the Beckhams down for wanting to use the government bailout.

According to The Sun, After Life star Ricky was spotted showing his thoughts and feelings as he opted to side with a fan who had publicly shamed the celebrity family.
The tweet in question, now been deleted, read: “The f***ing Beckhams, sorry I’m done with them now. Shame on them.”
It didn’t go unnoticed by social media spectators that the funnyman had indirectly indicated his view on the matter.

The 58-year-old comedian has in the past been very vocal about the global crisis and has slammed A listers who had complained about self-isolation.
In an interview with The Sun, Ricky said: “After this is over I never want to hear people moaning about the welfare state again, I never want to hear people moaning about nurses again. Or porters.
“These people are doing 14-hour shifts and not complaining. Wearing masks, and being left with sores, after risking their own health and their families’ health selflessly.
“But then I see someone complaining about being in a mansion with a swimming pool. And, you know, honestly, I just don’t want to hear it.”
The Beckhams faced public scrutiny after Victoria had taken steps to furlough 30 staff members of her alleged failing fashion empire.
In an article published by The Mail on Sunday, Posh Spice could be entitled to wad of taxpayers cash to support her team – despite having a personal wealth claimed to accumulate to £335 million.
It wasn’t long before controversial Good Morning Britain host, Piers Morgan, decided to lead the charge and branded the former Spice Girl a “pampered prima donna millionaire”.
