The Chase viewers were left frustrated, but in hysterics, tonight when a contestant got the “easiest question in the world” wrong.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the first contestant up to face the Chaser today was Patrick, who works as a postman.
The postman opted to fight for £30,000, and the Chaser he was handed was none other than The Governess Anne Hegerty who has been on the show since 2010.
Feeling rather brave, Patrick decided to gamble with more money on the table as he took on The Governess but sadly it didn’t go down as he had likely planned, as he was the first to be kicked off the quiz team.

The postman answered a few questions wrong but it was one question in particular that fans couldn’t understand how he’d got it so wrong.
Patrick was asked: “In which film does Will Smith’s character have his identity as New York policeman James Darrell Edwards III erased?”
The multiple-choice answers he was given were, I Robot, Independence Day, and Men in Black.
He sadly opted for I Robot when of course the answer was, Men in Black.

Fans rushed to Twitter to vent their frustration and joke.
One wrote: “Missed the 1st easy one. Oh Patrick! #TheChase.”
A second said: “That was f*****g easy. How could you get that wrong? #TheChase.”
“Lool that was the easiest question ever?” tweeted another.
It comes after a contestant shut down Bradley as he refused to answer a question about his career on yesterday’s show.
Alex worked in marketing for the theatre world, with a passion for arts and culture on his side as he took on The Vixen.
He said: “I work in marketing for theatre, festivals, attractions, museums, galleries. All the fun things you can spend your money on.”
But, when Brad asked which show had been the “hardest sell” in his career, Alex refused to answer the question.
Looking a little awkward, he responded: “I couldn’t really say.”
