The Chase host Bradley Walsh didn’t hold back on today’s show, cheekily labelling a contestant’s husband a “wimp” during the second round.
Gill from Milton Keynes stepped up to the plate, hoping to make some money to buy a property with her husband Paul.
Explaining why she wanted to leave the show with a tidy sum, she said: “My husband and I have been married for a couple of years we’ve got a couple of kids.”
The 29-year-old earned a whopping £8,000 in the cash builder round, leaving Bradley – and Chaser Mark Labbett – impressed.
The Beast placed a low offer of £2,000 on the table, leaving Gill with food for thought.
She decided to opt for the middle offer, heading into the second round with £8,000 to play for.
Wondering about her husband, Bradley asked: “What would Paul have done?”
Gill confessed: “He would have gone for the two.”
In a savage swipe, Bradley exclaimed: “What a wimp!”
Later in the round, the beloved presenter was left in stitches when an X-rated name popped up in the questions.
The question read: “Ron Tugnutt is a famous name in what sport?”
Unable to keep his laughter at bay, he covered his mouth with his hands, and exclaimed: “Ron Tugnutt!”
He joked: “If conkers was up there we’d have been in trouble. Ron Tugnutt the world’s conker champion.”
Over on Twitter, viewers were left amused by Brad’s hysterics, with one writing: “Ron Tungutt I wished they had put Conkers on there for absolute banter.”
A second agreed: “Some real genuine laughter from Bradley there…”
And a third added: “Tugnutt… Needed that laugh today.”
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
