This Morning's Eamonn Holmes forced to step in as guest says 's***' live on-air

Thursday’s This Morning saw a guest drop the S-bomb live on air.

Chef and restaurant owner Mark Hix was discussing how his business suffered devastating effects due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He was telling Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about his new venture involving food trucks when he proceeded to swear live on air.

The chef remarked: “I thought ‘oh s***'”, not realising he wasn’t allowed to use bad language on the morning programme.

Eamonn quickly stepped in, seemingly flustered after the s-bomb was dropped for the second time this week.

He said: “Just before we get closed down as well, I just have to say there are some words you’re not allowed to use on daytime television.

“I understand this is emotional for you, but we apologise for that.”

The chef began the interview by exclaiming he was enjoying a bloody mary, which he sipped throughout their chat.

After the interview ended, Eamonn said to his wife: “If we lost this job, baring in mind we’ve had guests swear two times this week, what would you do?”

Ruth confirmed she would love to work in the food industry, while Eamonn said in a bar, as the couple attempted to get the show back on track after the blunder.

Fans flocked to Twitter, stunned that yet another guest had made a swearing blunder.

One said: “Second s*** of the week on #ThisMorning.”

While another wrote: “He did a swear!”, with four laughing emoji icons.

A third penned: “Oh s***. Two in a week!”

“Gotta love it when they swear on daytime tv”, laughed a fourth viewer.

Today’s swear marked the second time a guest used bad language on the show this week, as Katie Morley swore during Tuesday’s This Morning.

The show’s new consumer expert was listening to a dilemma when she dropped the s-bomb.

Her emotions got the better of her as she declared: “So sorry darling that’s s***”, before quickly covering her mouth when she realised what she’d done.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
