Victoria Beckham slammed as she sells £2,200 outfit after furloughing her staff

Victoria Beckham faced a second backlash from fans today after unveiling a new outfit from her fashion brand which costs a staggering £2,200.

The look, which was unveiled on her official Victoria Beckham website, is made up of a £720 “plunging beige V-neck blouse” and a navy A-line skirt for a further £890.

Completing the look are a pair of purple suede heels, with fancy shoes costing a further £590.

Gushing over the outfit, the website boasts: “As seen on the spring/summer 2020 runway show, this tunic features a collar stand detail decorated with hand crafted silk flowers.

“Made of a textured marocain fabric with an elegant drape.”

The site adds: “Tailored from a structured linen-blend fabric with a grainy slub texture, this midi skirt features two box pleats on the side for ease of movement.

“Finished with a gold chain detail for a touch of polish.”

Other new items on the site include a dress for £1,490 and celebrity style aviator sunglasses for £355.

Victoria recently was met with national fury after the star – who’s worth a cool £335 million thanks to brand Beckham – decided to use tax payer money to furlough her staff.

While perfectly legal, many supporters of the Spice Girl claimed it was morally unfair to rely on the tax payer when her family are worth so much.

However, reports have claimed Posh Spice has been left “upset” by the “unfair” backlash.

Taking to Instagram, Victoria posted a high end shot from her new collection online along with the caption #VBSS20.

The post was quickly met with angry comments.

One follower wrote: “Asking for a friend: How many peoples wages would this one dress alone cover the cost of? No social conscience whatever.

“No one in touch with the reality of the common people would dare post this after your stealing from the public purse. Disgusting”.

Another added: “Whilst you’re walking into the pockets of the taxpayer to pay your staff.

“Despite the backlash you’ve had, your PR team still have no common sense to realise this is not what you should be posting!”
