X Factor's Emma Chawner flaunts 13 stone weight-loss transformation on Lorraine

Lorraine viewers were left gobsmacked today when X Factor star Emma Chawner appeared on the ITV daytime show to show off her incredible 13 stone weight-loss.

The now 30-year-old appeared on The X Factor 13 years ago in 2007 when she was just 17-years-old and was cruelly dubbed a “flump” by judge Simon Cowell.

Emma, who ditched singing after she was bullied online for her weight, has stayed out of the spotlight ever since and instead took up a career as a childminder.

But now the talented singer has taken to Lorraine to talk about her weight loss after she lost a staggering 13 stone.

After walking more, ditching the crisps, cakes and drinking more water, she revealed she’s gone from 28 stone to around 14 stone.

Speaking on how she lost the weight, Emma said: “It’s taken me three years but the kids keep me busy and when childminding on the weekends I walk about six miles.”

Lorraine complimented her and said: “You look a lot better. I think people remember you from The X Factor because it was very cruel. You were mocked.”

Emma went on to confess how much the show affected her after Simon called her a “flump” and online trolls targeted her over her weight.

She said: “I had good and bad from that show. I had death threats and bullying online.”

Emma continued that she didn’t realise people would be so horrible when she appeared on the talent show, she continued: “I didn’t know people would be so unkind when I went on the show. I was only 17.”

She revealed she has not had a gastric band despite speculation from fans and is on a mission to get down to a goal weight of 12 stone.

Emma was also trolled for her white dress, which was handmade by her adoring father.

Speaking about how she feels now, she said: “I’m happy with the way I am now but I do want to get down to 12 stone.”

Lorraine added: “You’ve transformed and its great.”

Emma and her sister Sam, 31, returned to The X Factor in 2009 to audition as a duo, but were cruelly branded “the Teletubbies” by viewers.

Cowell also branded her “a flump”, which are round characters from a 70s kids’ show of the same name.

Lorraine continues tomorrow at 9am on ITV.
