Amanda Holden is said to have been reported to the police after making a 200 mile trip to see her father during lockdown.
Amanda made the return trip from London to Cornwall earlier this week.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge’s rep has insisted on balance she believes she did the right thing after receiving a distressing call from her father.
He went into detail about the journey, explaining why Amanda acted as she did.
A rep for Amanda told The Sun: “Amanda is aware that all families are going through difficulty during these turbulent times but received a distressing telephone call from her elderly father on Friday afternoon.

“On balance Amanda felt the round trip to Cornwall necessary to contain the matter at her family home. The very personal situation has now been aided and Amanda is back in London.
“Amanda did not act on a whim and has adhered to Covid rules every step of the way in all three lockdowns.
“Amanda is aware of the travel rules and is devastated she had to break them on this one occasion.”

He added that both of Amanda’s parents are vaccinated and she is also tested weekly for Covid-19.
He said: “She did not come in contact with any member of the public.”
It’s reported that Amanda has not seen her stepdad Les for a year prior to the trip.
An onlooker told The Sun: “She must have known what she was doing was wrong.

“People down here will be really angry. There is a feeling that, during the lockdowns, people have just been coming down to Cornwall as they wish, and putting local people in danger. So this type of behaviour really isn’t on.”
Amanda’s trip comes as the UK appears to be finally turning a corner in the battle against coronavirus.
The UK government are on track to meet their target of giving 15 million people the vaccine by Monday.
The vaccine roll out has been praised with the NHS quickly adapting to help administrate the largest vaccine plan of all time.
By next week all of the most vulnerable should have been offered at least their first vaccine shot with letters being send out to call on over 65s to get the all important jab.
