BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker was forced to step in on Monday during a segment with boyband The Wanted, warning them to “keep it clean, lads”.
The band, who recently re-formed in order to support Stand Up To Cancer amid Tom Parker’s ongoing battle with a brain tumour, appeared on the show to discuss their musical highlights and the future.
As a highlights reel of their greatest hits played in the studio, host Sally Nugent laughed: “Now let’s just talk a little bit about the videos we’ve just watched, because you had, erm, quite strong reactions, shall we say, to seeing yourself from years ago.
“What was that like?”
Tom chipped in: “It’s beautiful. It’s nostalgic. I mean, there were some stories from them videos – let me tell you!”

His bandmate Max added: “I was gonna say, that’s not how you described it while it was on there!”
And Siva giggled: “Not the parts that you heard!”
Which is when Dan was forced to step in, warning: “Keep it clean, lads – keep it clean!”
Max went on to say: “No, I think it was just looking at us as little kids like that. We’re trying to be dead serious, but inside we were so frightened.”

Dan also went on to tell off his co-host Sally Nugent for repeating questions, as she wondered: “How is that creative energy being channelled now into writing, perhaps? How has that changed for you?”
Max began to explain: “Someone asked that last night, we did a gig last night…”
As Sally leapt in to apologise, he reassured her: “No, no! It is an interesting question!”

Dan couldn’t help but mock his co-host as the others descended into fits of giggles, as he said: “They’ve already answered that one, Sally!”
He explained: “It differs between each members. For me, my head was always in it so even when I’m writing for myself I was still just automatically writing for the boys, thinking, ‘What would we do?'”
Later in the show, Tom provided an update on his health amidst his ongoing brain tumour battle.
He explained: “I feel really well, actually. Just happy to be present to be honest. I’m about 15 months down the way since diagnosis now, so just happy to be here.”
Tom added that his bandmates have helped to “distract” him from his ongoing medical issues, as he went on: “We’re brothers at the end of the day.
“We went through something that a lot of people don’t go through, and the boys have been an amazing support network for me during this whole time.
“It’s been a nice distraction, they’ve been such a great support.”
And he admitted he wants to do an arena tour next year after the success of their gigs so far.
