David Beckham and Tom Cruise were spotted fist bumping in joy after England scored the opening goal in the 2020 Euros final.
Within the first few minutes Luke Shaw set the nation alight after scoring the first goal in the match.
By the end of half time, Gareth Southgate’s squad had managed to maintain their 1-0 lead over the Italians at Wembley.
As BBC cameras cut to the crowd for shots of celebration, sporting icon Beckham couldn’t hide his glee.
The football hero beamed with joy as he turned to the side to fist bump with Hollywood legend Tom Cruise.
The duo looked dapper as ever in crisp suits as they watched the match from the VIP section of the stadium.
Earlier in the day Mission Impossible star Cruise was seen enjoying the Wimbledon final on the other side of London.
Also at Wembley for the Euros final was supermodel Kate Moss, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan.
Morgan snubbed the VIP box to join his sons in the crowd as the nation held its breath to see if finally, football was coming home.
Sadly the England team could not make the lead last and conceded an equaliser midway through the second half.
The match then went into 30 minutes of extra time before finally going to penalties.
Despite England keeper Jordan Pickford saving two Italian shots, the England team went down 3-2 after Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka saw their efforts saved or ht the post.
Calls have already begun for Gareth Southgate to be knighted for helping guide the side through the tournament.
As excitement reached fever pitch, celebs flocked to Twitter to wish the lads good luck.
Everyone from Rita Ora to Rachel Riley posted their support for the team.
Sexing things up as usual, Rita opted to strip naked before draping a England shirt over herself to keep her modesty intact.
