Before she became one of the nation’s favourite critics on Britain’s Got Talent, Alesha Dixon paved her fortune in the music ‘biz.
The mum-of-two, 42, rose to fame in the noughties as one-third of the girl band Mis-Teeq, famed for catchy tracks like Scandalous and All I Want.
In a return to her music credentials, Alesha teamed up with Bacardi to film a new music video for the song Conga Feat. You, performing alongside US rapper Meek Mill and Latin Grammy-winning singer Leslie Grace.
The video, which was released at the beginning of February, sees Alesha dancing on a balcony in London’s Canary Wharf, moving in time with the music.
Her outfit for the shoot was characteristically stylish, working a tie-dyed jumper that had been shorn to just below the bust.

Alesha paired the pullover with some black satin parachute pants, belted high at the waist.
Toeless stiletto heels, golden bangles and ear cuffs accessorised the look, and her brunette locks were wound into braids.
Teaming up with the legendary dance troupe Diversity, Alesha is promoting the liquor brand’s campaign to inspire people everywhere to “do what moves them” through song and dance.
The music video is just another of Alesha’s ventures this year, with the children’s author recently returning to filming a secret project.

Sharing some behind-the-scene images from the beauty chair on a production, earlier this week Alesha admitted she was thrilled to return to work.
“It’s so good to be back in the chair getting my hair and makeup done,” she told her fans.
The mystery project comes amid news Britain’s Got Talent 2021 has officially been cancelled, with ITV deciding to push the 17th series ahead to next year.

BGT had already been postponed until autumn, but concerns over the ongoing pandemic forced bosses to cancel the 2021 production entirely.
A statement released by ITV read: “Despite everyone at ITV, Thames and Syco doing their best to make it happen, and with our absolute priority of safeguarding the well-being and health of every person involved in the programme from judges, hosts and contestants to all of the crew and audience, the decision has been made to – unfortunately – move the record and broadcast of the 15th series of Britain’s Got Talent to 2022.”
Ahead of the cancellation, Alesha admitted she’d be “devastated” if ITV pulled the plug on the 2021 series, but conceded it was the right thing to do.
She told Metro.co.uk: “We’ve all got our fingers and our toes crossed and we know the producers are fighting to get the show on the air but at the same time, the most important thing is the safety of contestants, people that work on the show.
“And if it’s not safe to do it or we can’t make the show in the best way possible to deliver the best show we can, then it may have to be pushed back.”
However, in good news for audiences Down Under, Alesha is also a main judge on the Aussie alternative of the beloved variety show – Australia’s Got Talent.
