Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder didn’t seem to mince his words at all, after he appeared to take a swipe at TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, labelling him “greedy b*****d”.
On Friday night’s episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, the famous faces watched a recent instalment of ITV’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? which is hosted by television personality Jeremy.
From the comfort of their sofas, the celebs saw the famous opening credits of the popular quizzing show as they geared up to watch the programme.
But as the show appeared Shaun made sure he didn’t hold back his thoughts regarding the presenter.
Expressing his opinions openly to his band member and Gogglebox co-star Bez, the confused singer songwriter said: “It’s now Jeremy Clarkson.”
Bez replied: “Is it?”
Shaun responded: “Yeah, how many shows does the greedy b*****d want?”
Although his comments were brash, Shaun and Bez were still a hit amongst viewers on the last episode of the series.
Taking to Twitter to air their thoughts on the celebrity duo, one fan penned: “Bez & Shaun – Thanks for making me laugh out loud!”
While another questioned: “Should Bez & Shaun have their own TV show? Even an hour of them talking as they sit & watch paint dry?”
Hopefully the Happy Mondays pair will be back on a screens when Celebrity Gogglebox returns.
Singer Shaun is often know to express his outspoken opinions on other celebs and rarely ever holds back.
Speaking to Daily Star earlier this month, the singer gave his thoughts regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Shaun said: “They’re just d**k-heads, and they just really don’t have a clue.”
Not only this but he also spoke frankly about Matt Hancock and the government.
“F******g hell – he’s been stupid. These cs, it’s nothing new. At the end of the day, I’d expect nothing else from these Tory d**kheads, he explained.
He then added: “That’s just how they are. They print the rules and just do something different, and he just got caught.”
