Chloe Ferry's dad dies after cancer battle leaving Geordie Shore star heartbroken

Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry has announced the news that her dad has died after a battle with cancer, leaving her heartbroken.

The reality TV favourite shared a statement on her Instagram highlighting the fact she will be stepping out of the limelight for a while.

The 26-year-old wrote: “I’ve struggled to write this and still can’t accept it what I’m about to say!

“I’m a very open person and normally happy to share all details of my life, however this is a time where I really need to have some privacy.

“I sadly lost my dad after his battle with cancer and it still doesn’t feel real!”

She continued: “I am going to take a break from social media and work commitments.

“As a family we are all dealing with this and trying to come to terms with it…

“I’d really appreciate it if I was given some time to deal with it in my own way!”

The MTV personality recently shared a throwback snap of herself posing next to her late father as a young girl.

To mark Father’s Day, she shared the photo and wrote: “Sorry couldn’t be there for fathers day.”

She then added a broken heart emoji alongside the words: “Love you.”

Chloe first found fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore back in 2015, where she started her TV career at just 19-years-old.

Chloe became a fan favourite on the series due to her drunken antics and hilarious humour.

Since then, the bombshell has gone on to find more reality TV fame and has starred on shows such as Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Big Brother.

However, she is set to be more focused on her businesses these days and will be removing herself from the public eye for a while now due to her devastating family news.
