Christine Lampard watched Loose Women 'every day on maternity leave' as she returns

Christine Lampard has revealed that she watched Loose Women ‘every day during maternity leave’, as she returned to the show.

The 42-year-old presenter was joined by panellists Coleen Nolan, Sunetra Sarker and Janet Street Porter as she appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the ITV daytime series.

She had previously taken months off the show to give birth to her second child Freddie in March.

Speaking at the start of the programme, an excited Christine said: “It’s good to be back.”

She was later asked by Janet if she ‘watched Loose Women’ during her maternity leave.

In response, Christine replied: “I watched Loose Women, honestly, every day that I was off.”

Jokingly asked if the show had ‘helped with her contractions’, she added: “It was more just for that company feeling.

“You know, when you’ve just had a baby and I’m sure there’s a lot of people at home feeling this.

“You can feel a bit isolated… and it was just lovely to feel like your friends were on the telly.”

Christine’s fellow Loose ladies were delighted to welcome her back into the fold.

Coleen said: “I have to say, you look fantastic.”

As Christine insisted that she thought she looked ‘really tired’, Sunetra added: “You look wonderful.”

Christine announced the birth of her second child Freddie with her partner and football star Frank Lampard in March.

The couple also share a three-year-old daughter called Patricia.

On her daughter’s emerging football skills, Christine added: “It’s our little girl showing the football skills.

“She just cannot get enough of it.

“[Frank is] very impressed with her so who knows what’s going to happen?”
