Corrie's Catherine Tyldesley tells awkward 'nipple' story from party with ITV bosses

Catherine Tyldesley was left red-faced when she told an awkward story involving an “areola” on Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line Up.

The former Coronation Street star was on the ITV show with Danny Jones, Rupert Everett and Martin Kemp.

Catherine, who recently announced her second pregnancy, told the story, admitting the embarrassing tale happened in front of some ITV bosses.

The 38-year-old laughed: “I remember I went to an ITV party and I was stood around some big wigs, and they came round and I was like, ‘Can I have some more of the areolas please?’

“The waitress was like, ‘What?’ I said the areola with the garlic dip.”

As host Paul O’Grady began to laugh, Cath explained: “I meant aioli… The waitress was like, ‘That’s the bit around your nipple.'”

That wasn’t the only funny story the popular actress shared though, as she confessed she was the subject of a number of foot fetishists’ fantasies.

Speaking of Coronation Street fans, she said: “I would say 90% are wonderful and lovely, there are a small minority that have an obsession with my feet.

“Apparently that’s a thing.”

Catherine continued: “The guy that runs my website and sometimes does my socials says, ‘Cath, I just want to let you know your feet are really popular, you might want to think about launching some flip flops or something.'”

But she went on: “[My feet] on the wrong website… What ever happened to a nice pair of boobs?”

Without missing a beat, though, Rupert complimented Catherine on her feet, saying he could see why fans liked them so much.

Rupert then shared his own funny story, saying a fan once got him confused for Hugh Grant and wasn’t too complimentary about Hugh’s acting.

So, pretending to be Hugh, Rupert said he told the fan: “I’ve got a tiny c***,” and then signed an autograph from Hugh.

But he said Hugh knew all about the cringeworthy story, so all is good in the world.

Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line Up airs Saturdays at 9.30pm on ITV
