Dan Walker has taken his Strictly partner Nadiya Bychkova into his lovely Sheffield home – where she got to meet Dan’s wife and children.
With the first Strictly live shows airing next Saturday (25 September), there’s no better time for the celebrities to get to know one another.
It looks like Dan and his Strictly pro have wasted no time in breaking the ice, as Dan invited Nadiya to Sheffield where he gave her a tour of his family home.
It seems like Nadiya got some VIP treatment in Dan’s home city too, because Dan’s wife Sarah whipped them up a lush meal as they all dined together during the visit.
Taking to Instagram, Dan shared some sweet snaps of their day together – and reveals that they had a “lovely” time.
Dan penned the caption: “I got the chance to show @nadiyabychkova around Sheffield a bit today after training,
“She came to meet Sam at @capellihairsheffield – she’s booked in for a few weeks’ time – and she popped round for tea too!
“Mrs Walker cooked something lovely & the kids (and Winnie) had a lovely time. #SheffieldIsSuper #Strictly.”
In the first photo, Dan could be seen getting a trim at his local hair salon with his hairdresser, Sam giving a thumbs-up in the background.
The second snap showed Nadiya smiling as she stood with Dan’s three children – with their faces hidden to protect their privacy.
Reacting to Dan’s post, Nadiya wrote: “What a great day! Thank you partner!
“Really enjoying Sheffield. Was super cool to meet Sam, cannot wait for my hair appointment.
“So lovely to meet Mrs Walker (what a delicious dinner) and my highlight was meeting the kids! Ahhh it just made my day! What a beautiful family! Thank you again.”
It comes not long after BBC Breakfast host Dan had to be rushed to hospital after hitting his head on a glass window.
The presenter said he was having to take a short break from dancing in order to recover, but the good news was that his CT scan proved clear.
Taking to Twitter on Friday night, he thanked Nadiya for her support during his hospital stint as he wrote: “Bit of head-based drama today!
“After whacking my noggin on the big glass window yesterday I got sent to A & E today because I was feeling a bit wobbly. A lovely nurse at Barnet Hospital called Karina checked my vitals and 6ft 9 Dr Erik Witt gave me a CT scan which was clear.
“No blood on the brain but I have to rest for a few days.
“I’ll be a bit behind but back at [dancing emoji] next week.”
“The NHS is amazing & I can’t tell you who my pro is but I can say she waited for hours in the car park to check I was ok. Whatever happens on TV, she has a friend for life”.
