EastEnders fans were left thrilled when Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) finally returned to Albert Square, arriving at a party in her honour.
And while fans were excited, Stacey’s good mood is set to sour when she continues her long-running feud with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).
Stacey turned up to a party that mum Jean (Gillian Wright) had thrown for her, with balloons and banner decorating the venue, while a delicious-looking spread of food was on the table.
In true Stacey fashion, when she arrived, she muttered: “Call this a party? I’ve been to better wakes!”
Fans were more than pleased to have her back, with one announcing: “Stacey’s in the room!”
Another tweeted: “And there she is. Welcome home Stacey.”
A third wrote: “Queen Stacey is back.”
A fourth commented: “Oh my god Stacey!”
Someone else added: “The queen Stacey Slater has returned,” adding a string of celebratory emojis.
While another said: “Aw I seriously love Stacey and Jean’s mother/daughter bond.”
After leaving the party, Martin Fowler (James Bye) went to meet Stacey, hoping to reveal his true feelings for her.
But before he had a chance, Stacey told him he needed her help to tell the kids something – she’d got married again.
EastEnders spoilers reveal that later in the week, Stacey comes face to face with Janine and quickly makes an exit.
But what could be the reason for Stacey avoiding Janine?
Later in the week, Stacey’s prison friend Eve, played by soap newcomer Heather Peace, turns up on the square.
She heads to The Prince Albert and starts flirting with Shirley Carter (Linda Henry).
Stacey then goes to look for Eve and they happily hug when they find each other.
But when Jean meets Eve, she’s not quite as impressed.
What business could Eve have in Walford?
Or is she just there to visit Stacey?
Earlier this year, Stacey left EastEnders when she was sent to prison for a crime she didn’t actually commit.
Ruby (Louisa Lytton) framed her former friend for pushing her down the stairs.
In real life, actress Lacey was going on maternity leave to spend time with her newborn son Trilby Fox.
EastEnders airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One
