EastEnders icon Louise Mitchell’s entry into the world was certainly an exciting one, as she sparked a huge row between her dad Phil Mitchell and his ex Lisa Fowler.
Lisa didn’t want Phil to know that he was the father of her baby so she quickly married Mark Fowler, but the truth eventually came out after Louise was kidnapped by Steve Owen, leading to one of the soap’s most iconic death when he died in a car explosion.
The little girl has played by four actresses over the years, with new actresses stepping in when the girl was taken away by Lisa to escape Phil’s clutches.
She was played as a baby by Rachel Cox until 2003, before being replaced by Danni Bennatar when she returned to Albert Square in 2008.
Her time was short but sweet, and Brittany Papple stepped in to take over the role during her brief comeback in 2010 when Lisa decided to flee with her again.
Tilly Keeper was the longest running of the stunning blonde, playing her from 2016 to 2020, when she decided to leave with her daughter Peggy after her ex Keanu was seemingly murdered by her dad Phil and brother Ben.
The door has been left open for Louise’s return, but what has happened to the actresses who played the feisty Mitchell over the years?
Danni Bennatar
Danni was the second Louise Mitchell, playing her in 2008 when Phil finally managed to track down her whereabouts after Lisa fled the country to sunny Portugal.
Phil was left devastated when he discovered that she considered another man to be her father, and it didn’t take long for her to leave Walford again after their reunion.
The talented little girl went on to star in BBC hit series Outnumbered, appearing in several episodes as Karen Brockman’s friend Alexa.
Since then, she has turned her back on TV and has turned her career to being a make-up artist with an impressive 15,000 followers on Instagram.
Danni also has a YouTube channel, where she posts videos such as make-up tutorials and clothing hauls.
She is clearly very talented, as her LinkedIn page also revealed that she is a personal assistant at the Bank of England, a job which she has held since 2008.
Brittany Papple
The third edition of Louise was played by Brittany, now 22, who had an appearance on Albert Square back in 2010.
She left the soap after her older brother Ben started to abuse her following his own sick treatment from Phil’s wife Stella, who was secretly torturing him.
Brittany looks very different from her time on the soap 11 years after her exit, as she now rocks platinum blonde hair and regularly shares glamorous snaps on social media.
In 2018, she revealed she was set for a future as a dancer at Disneyland after graduating from Millennium Performing Arts in 2017.
Now living in Essex, Brittany has shared her jet-setting lifestyle, posting stunning snaps of herself having fun in Barcelona and Milan.
Fans regularly share their shock that Brittany used to play the iconic character, with one asking on her page: “Louise Mitchell is that you?”
Tilly Keeper
Louise was transformed into a feisty woman when she eventually returned to Albert Square in 2016, and quickly got caught in several steamy love stories.
Her discovery that her baby daddy Keanu had also got her step-mum Sharon pregnant was one of the biggest Christmas storylines ever, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
Louise also had a romance with Keegan Baker and was close friends with Bex Fowler and Shakil Kazemi, who was sadly stabbed to death in 2018.
During her time on the soap, Tilly had to deal with a number of rumours that she was having a romance with her co-star, forcing her to speak out.
After being seen on a night out with Shaheen Jafargholi, where the pair looked to be very close, rumours soon flew that they were secretly dating.
Tilly told OK!: “We get on brilliantly but we’re just friends. I’ve been linked to Zack [Morris] in the past too but they’re both like brothers to me.”
Since her exit, the star can be found looking very glamorous on social media, sharing plenty of stunning snaps of her antics around London.
She is still best friends with Jasmine Armfield, who played Bex, as the pair regularly share snaps of their nights out together.
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8.05pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.35pm on BBC.
